Guest guest Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 Yep, have those too. Back in the 80s, when Nickel was so popular in costume jewelry, I would try to wear that. After only a few hours, it would leave " hickie " type welts on my skin, which would ooze and get infected. I too, can only wear 14k or better, as even with the 14k, my ears will turn the posts a different color. Based on that, why in the heck did I ever have a BA? Why don't surgeons ask these kinds of questions before implanting. My doctor never asked me if I had any kind of allergies, etc. My 9 yr old has metal allergies as well, can only tolerate 14k. hugs, Beth L.
