Guest guest
Hi Annie. Welcome to our little MS Community here on the web! When were you diagnosed? I was diagnosed in June '98 after a bad attack in September of 97. That time I was totally numb from my lower left ribs to the ends of my toes on that side. No feeling at all. I lost bladder control too. It slowly got better after a month or so but I've never been back to pre-attack-health again. Although I was dxed in 98 I can trace MS back to at least age 18. I'm 53 now. What about you? Sharon (MSersLife creator/owner) “One minute it's a giant cabbage and the next, ka-boom! You've got cole slaw all over you." Guest guest
You posed quite a question which had me thinking for while (and its hard to get me to think lol) Eventually I remembered that when I was still working, the nursing home/ rehab center had assistive devices to help people relearn ordinary tasks. We had a gentleman who had a stroke and had no use of his left side, he wanted very much to be able to do enough to go back to his job as a newspaper editor. The nursing home procured a one-handed keyboard, with the keys close enough together to make them all easily accessible with one hand. It may not be the exact thing you were looking for, but all i could think of. Guest guest
Well, doctors are not deities, and I went through the "you don't have it!" business once, got sent out for a new MRI of head, brainstem and back, and it was all still there! I would not leap for joy just yet. Get someone to order an MRI of head, brainstem and neck first! Or enjoy the illusions! Love, n Rojas RE: new hi sharon and everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. iwas 1st dxed 21 yrs ago but in 97 told i didnt have it - funny, i never stopped having symptoms though. this is the worst yet. just set up doing handmade wedding stationary too. bad timing. cant get online much at the mo until pc is moved. been offered steroid injections, not keen but interested to hear anyone's views anyone know how to use 'shift' on the keyboard onehanded or any other nuggets of info for a one fingered typist. thanks again annie -----Original Message-----From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ]On Behalf Of Sharon MarsdenSent: 04 July 2005 14:15To: MSersLife Subject: Re: new No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.8.9/39 - Release Date: 7/4/2005 No virus found in this outgoing message.
