Guest guest
Hi Lea, Lynda’s diet is very close to what I eat as well except that I added a little bit of red meat to my diet last year. I avoided it for 4 years but my Dr. Leu requested that I eat it again because my iron count is so low and supplements didn’t bring it up enough — at least the level of supplements that I could tolerate. I also take NAC and glutamine because my body doesn’t make glutathione. A weird genetic snip of mine. Lea, you can make tremendous changes in your health with diet and supplementation alone. Kenda Everyone has to do their own thing, but what I did was avoid many things, like all sugars and white starches, all dairy, all red meat, ate organic vegetables, free range chicken and turkey, deep ocean fish, organic grains (cooked from scratch) and drank tons of pure osmosis filtered water. I also took a lot of natural supplements, as we do not absorb nutrients. Lynda At 09:28 AM 6/11/2005, you wrote: >Thank you, Lynda: > >How would I detox, it seems a bit late for me? Any ideas? Guest guest
Lea, It sounds like you have an excellent diet. A couple of suggestions would be for you to try vegetable juicing. This is considered a detox and there is no digestion required. All the nutrients go directly into the blood stream. Also, I have learned that there is a big difference between pasteurized milk and raw milk. Pasteurization changes the chemistry of the milk and destroys enzymes. My son cannot tolerate pasteurized milk but does fine on the raw milk. Love, Anita N-acetyl-L-cysteine> >>> >>> >> > N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine> >> > (ak.a. Guest guest
Thank you dear Anita: I can only have certain vegetables because of the Coumadin. What would you suggest that I use for juice.? Tomato juice is too acidic. My daughter has a milk cow but they live several hours away. She uses raw milk and they make all of their own cheese and butter. Love you...Lea....I'm off to bed again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````` N-acetyl-L-cysteine> >>> >>> >> > N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine> >> > (ak.a. Guest guest
Hi Lea, My doctor Leu recommends eating very little fish, because of mercury. I used to eat fish several times per week and actually started losing my memory! He recommends taking a fish oil supplement instead unless the fish is from very deep waters. I explained this to the fish market where I buy my fish and salmon was on the do not eat list. I am not familiar with Jamison’s acidophilus. Guest guest
Yes, it sure is but I always feel guilty. I didn’t cheat at all for two years, when I was so sick. I truly felt like I was dying, I even had my doctor run an AIDS test back in the late 80’s because I thought certainly there was a different way to get it than we were being told because I didn’t fit any of the risk groups. Of course the test came back negative and my doc had a good laugh. Kenda Nice to be able to cheat now and then, isn't it??? I was so strict for so long, but it is the only reason I'm still alive. Guest guest
Since Lea is on Coumadin, aren’t green vegetables out of the question or is it just salad greens? Kenda Lea, You are so lucky to have access to raw milk. I get several gallons and freeze some. When it thaws you have to shake it as the cream separates somewhat but it is so worth it. As for the juices try to use whatever green vegies you can eat. They say not to use things like carrots or beets because the sugar content is way too high and taking the fiber out is to much of a sugar blast. You can start with mild veggies like celery and cucumbers. I use leaf or romaine lettuce, parsley, celery, broccoli, dandelions. They say cabbage is also very good. I haven't tried that yet. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Thank you! Dr. Leu gave me Vital Choice’s name a couple of weeks ago too! I haven’t had a chance to order from them yet but I plan to. A shame most fish is too toxic to eat. Guest guest
Good Morning Kenda: The bacteria count is 2 Billion Active Cells and it has very few fillers. The red salmon that we eat is canned. My doctor told me that is one of the safest fish to eat, the same might be true of solid white tuna, we buy the best. What thinks thee? Once I took some oil and it was rancid, it nearly killed me. The only oil that I found helpful was Lorenzo's oil...I forget the name. Have you seen this movie, it is one of the best? It is called Lorenzo's Oil. I joined the Myelin Project and have been with them for years, They are doing stem cell research and we think that they might have found a cure for MS. I have to run, but will try to think of the name of the oil that I was taking. It was so expensive. The NCA is something that I know very little about. Guest guest
Honey: I can only have very small amounts of green vegetables. They do thin the blood. If I were to juice green vegetables it would be too concentrated. I'm doing okay I think, but I must be careful. Black olives are my weakness, we only but them for special occasions. If I had my way I would live on potatoes and gravy. Guest guest
Yes. My step dad is on Coumadin and can’t eat salad at all. I don’t know if all green vegetables thin the blood or just salad greens. I’ll have to ask him today. Kenda Kenda, why would green veggies be out of the question? Do they thin the blood? Guest guest
That is toooo funny, as I also had my doctor run an AIDS test. Which was, of course, negative, but I was desperate to know what was wrong with me. This was in '91. I knew I did not have it, but I could not find out what was wrong with me. Now I laugh at it, but I was so desperate to find out why I was suddenly so sick when I had always been so health, at least until the breast cancer. Guest guest
Good morning, Lea! I took/take HMF Replete by Genestra. The counts are: L.acidoplilus (two strains) 75 billion Bifidobacterium difidum 12.5 billion Bifidobacterium lactis 12.5 billion L.salivaraius 30 billion Fructo-oligosaccharides 10 g Everything except the Fructo can contain up to 170 billion to allow for some death of the product prior to receiving it from the company. It is sent directly from Genestra. As you can see, your product is really quite inferior in comparison to the Genestra Replete. If you are having candida problems, I would strongly recommend that you order some on line. I get mine from Rockwell Nutrition. As far as salmon goes, I completely disagree that canned salmon is safe. Red salmon might be the safest salmon, I have no idea, but I wouldn’t eat it canned. Not only do you have to worry about the quality of the fish but you are eating something that came from a can. I eat very few canned foods, in fact the only one I can think of is canned tomatoes in the winter and they are always from the health food store in safe cans. Kenda Good Morning Kenda: The bacteria count is 2 Billion Active Cells and it has very few fillers. Love you....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ N-acetyl-L-cysteine > >> > >> > >> > N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine > >> > (a.k.a. Guest guest
Hi Lea, That’s exactly what I thought. I wouldn’t juice then. I’m with you potatoes and gravy!! Kenda Honey: I can only have very small amounts of green vegetables. They do thin the blood. If I were to juice green vegetables it would be too concentrated. I'm doing okay I think, but I must be careful. Black olives are my weakness, we only but them for special occasions. If I had my way I would live on potatoes and gravy. Guest guest
That is really funny!! At the time, there were commercials on TV recommending everyone get tested. I was positive I had it! My doc thought I was insane, or hiding a deep dark secret. Kenda That is toooo funny, as I also had my doctor run an AIDS test. Guest guest
Boy, are we a pair, and I will bet we are not the only ones who were tested out of desperation to find out what we had. As for potatoes and gravy, I just love my vegetables and fruits. I grew up on a farm. Lynda At 11:08 AM 6/12/2005, you wrote: >That is really funny!!
