Guest guest
DE, clay, pectin, and a bit of charcoal .. makes up a very nice 'kaopectate' in coffee as the liquid. You can add a flavoring extract if you like, but don't get fancy w/ essential oils. One drop can be overwhelming in a 16 oz bottle. (I used ansie and wished I hadn't, so added a sweetener.) The coffee helps avoid any binding, and it imparts a bit of a chocolate taste to the the mix. If popcorn et al bind you up, then a bit of mag flakes solves this problem for sure (Milk-of-Magnesia). I store in the frig and take a swig before bedtime, swishing thru my teeth to help the gums. It tastes almost good and does not leave alot of grit behind. No yuck factor at all. Much preferred to wintergreen Pepto-Bismol which makes me gag. This is the drinking DMSO+more group, so this is baby stuff by comparison. Nor is it remotely like urine therapy, Bruce. .. Mr. smarty-pants lol. Lots of ways to take clay, but if colon inflammation is a problem, this has worked well for me. Pudding is wrong for my body, as are most of the formulations out there. Lots of $$ has 'gone down the toilet'. on hope-in-a-bottle. But the light-colored green clay works for me like kaopectate used to. Looks identical to my recollection of it too. It may also be the extra ingredients I added, don't know. Kaopectate used to be a staple medicine in our family until they changed the formula, and it no longer worked. Food poisoning, the runs, the flu .. whatever, you can't go wrong. If sick, one tablespoon is enough. For a daily use 1/2 tablespoon will suffice. Some clays pull better than others, but essentially it doesn't matter too much. The price of some of these 'organic' products is shocking considering the costs involved. Hope there are gold flakes hiding somewhere. .. A good clay in bulk goes for $6 lb. http://tinyurl.com/ca362nx You tube is full of videos. This is not complicated. Follow your own bliss.... -- tls. Guest guest
Hi All. MB wrote: > HI All- Just to clarify -- I did not mean to say that just bec. it is sold in the Feed Store that it's good for human consumption And BW wrote: > I just checked and my feed store sells DE as perma guard The IMPORTANT key words in this equation are: FOOD GRADE. If it says FOOD GRADE - then it's FOOD GRADE !!! I have been using FOOD GRADE Perma-Guard DE for quite a few months now without any problems at all from it. Regarding DMSO; I got my 99.7% pure DMSO there too, and upon checking, the 99% pure DMSO is marked thus because it is diluted with ~1% H2O. I repeat: If it's good enough for a horse - it's good enough for ME !!! Best Wishes to All. mark
