Hi Lin,

I have noticed that when my father has a UTI and even while he is

being treated with an antibiotic, his " LBD " symptoms are

exaggerated, including tiredness,seizures, blood pressure

fluctuation, etc. I even think that something about the antibiotics

cause side effects that makes him seem worse. Hopefully once the

treatment is completed and the UTI and antibiotics are out of her

system you will notice an improvement. Hang in there.

I don't know if you have had a chance to read the publication that

posted to the files section called " Mind, Mood and Memory "

but it might be enlightening. I was surprised that many of

the " symptoms " that I had always attributed to dementia were

actually more " Parkinsonian " . I never really thought my dad showed

much Parkinsons...now I am going to do a little more reading. I

also thought it was interesting that the tiredness was part of the

cognitive confusion. I am going to reread that article, as I

scanned it quickly before. If you have a chance to read it, I found

as much insightful info in the chapters leading up to the LBD

chapter. (I was going to skip them as they dealt more with

Parkinsons) It's all related.

Anyway, your post about the mood swings made me think this may be of

interest to you.
