Lyn and Mara,

I searched the list and here's one of the messages referring to

diminished odor. Will forward if I see others. If the Yahoolist links

at the bottom work you might be able to view the entire thread online.

I have shared this before, but will again. I am a woman. I have to put

my 2 cents in on this one as I could not smell or taste when using DMSO,

however if you take pure DMSO orally you will taste it. My postmaster

friend used to own race horses, I sauntered into the PO one morning and

she went phew, are you using DMSO? I nearly fainted as I'm very

conscientious about my personal hygiene. I answered what does it smell

like and she told me garlicky fish, she qualified by adding maybe not

that bad, she knew what it smelled like because they used gallons of it

on the race horses and it caused them to reek. Oh my gosh I nearly died.

I was frantic and put out an SOS to this group. Garnet promptly got back

to me and shared she takes chlorophyll tablets. I got on it and found

some gels at the Nutrition Center that were used as body deodorant. I

started them that same day. I now order from Puritan Pride when they

have a super sale and take 5-6 of these a day when using DMSO daily and

since I'm going through a move I'm using it a lot. Bingo, within a short

period of time the people who could smell it said they could no longer.

I found out there were about 4 other friends who could and just didn't

say anything. Also I had an experience where I had to go to the ER and

while they were checking me over, I was experiencing chest pains and

they thought I was having a heart attack. The attending doctor told me

he could smell fish oil. Sheeze, no one wants to smell like fish oil.

Anyway that experience was a bad dream, I merely had gas and the

hospital was not high tech enough to really know what to do so they blew

the whole situation out of proportion. Long story short, they wanted to

keep me to observe me, I told them " NO " the test are all negative and I

have never had high blood pressure or heart problems, this is

ridiculous. I had to sign a release to go home. It was okay though.

Crazy world, if you don't have something wrong they will create

something to charge you big bu! cks. *

But long story short, the chlorophyll gels work super for me. I take 2

50 mgs. after using DMSO, so if I use it 3-4 time a day I can use up to

8 gels. Depends. But I never want to smell like fish again, how awful.

Most of my friends told me it was a garlicky smell, but it depends on

the person smelling. Some people have fine tuned smellers and if in

doubt ask those close to you if they can smell anything on you. Tell

them you are using DMSO and want to know. My husband told me I never

smelled anything on you honey, you smell like flowers all the time. Now

there is a man after my own heart, eh?

One thing I want to add, remember Clorets's? I couldn't find them

anywhere, I went to all the stores seeking these as I used to take them

years ago when I ate garlic. Another thing I want to add, when this

incident happened, I was slitting a large clove of garlic daily and

swallowing it in the morning. So I had the addition of garlic to the

DMSO. I still use garlic in the winter and prefer organic fresh garlic.

However, I may switch over to the garlic that has no smell, but guess

what, I believe the smell is removed chemically, so why take garlic if

you are going to bombard your system with chemicals. I still don't know

for sure. I love this group however, we can brainstorm about our DMSO

experiences and Garnet is very knowledgeable because she has used it not

only personally but for her canines. Look in the archives for just about

anything and you will find lots of good reading. Blessings to all.
