Guest guest
Triest gel is what Dr. Uzi Reiss recommends in his book and still in his practice. It's a combo of the three estrogens, I forget the ratio but I'll look it up later. I hypothetically ordered it online, very inexpensively, from a place with a name like supersavermeds. Also got progesterone cream there, both in an aloe vera base. No problems with them at all, and at first, I was blissful. Just that now, I seem to need more and more of the triest, and those estradots sound great if I could finally sleep through the 3 a.m. night sweats. Supersavermeds did not ask for a physician name or scrip which I liked because I only have an acupuncturist. I live in a real backwater and am somewhat doctorphobic, self-care enthusiast. Control issues maybe. > I'm not aware that anyone here has been on " triest gel. " What is it? Where > do you get it? > > Val
Guest guest
Hi Keppy, Usually the ratio of Triest is somewhere 20 % estrone, 20% estradiol and 80% estrio, if I remember correct. Triest is definitely weak type of estrogen. I used it before and it did not help me. People in this site knew about getting estradiol gel ( called Oesrtagel) from Masteer's marketing online. There is no real prescription need to order but you need provide some doctor's name. They don't really call up the doctor as far as I know. The gel is going out of your system quicker than cream. Master's only sells gel. Estradots patches are good but just so expensive. > > Triest gel is what Dr. Uzi Reiss recommends in his book and still in > his practice. Guest guest
Sorry,I got it wrong, 10% estrone, 10 % estradiol, and 80% estrio. I googled supersavermeds, and found some cosumer ripoff report about the site beside the site. On the consumer report said supersavermeds sells low quality meds. ??? You might want check on that. > > > > Triest gel is what Dr. Uzi Reiss recommends in his book and > still in > > his practice. Guest guest
HI Val and all, I have to agree with you as I too would never add Estrone...that's one (as far as "I" know) as you age is more predominant naturally even without adding it (and it likes 'fat' tissue.. and I think of breasts) and I'm not likely to use the Estriol either. So that means the Tri-est is out for me too. Tho studies do show the benefits of estriol for skin (and estradiol too) .. I myself use Estrace (estradiol) cream diluted with a bit of face cream for the face. (when I think of it, LOL) But Estriol is barely even measurable (from my understanding) unless we're pregnant which I'm not *grin* so it's not a typical hormone that's high in us (or barely measurable) Not that I think it's harmful (most likely) since we only produce that in quanity when we are preggo.. and that's why they think, since it doesn't hurt the baby, so it must be ok (or less harmful). But it's not what I think of as the mother or master estrogen as estradiol is. It's estradiol we lose as we age and it's estradiol that 'I' want replaced. But that's just my two cents worth and why I agree with you. I also do not add an progestin or progesterone by the way (OMG the horrible side effects I just hate that stuff so much) and I do have my uterus and agree with the ultrasound once a yr or so to double check. With me it's been at least 4 yrs of estradiol alone (2mgs sublingually 365 a day) and my lining has been fine and no problems and in fact the fibroid I had has diminished to almost nothing. I know we're all different so that's just me. For many previous years I DID add Prometrium once a month till I read Larrian Gillespies levels to watch for E and if we stayed there or under those levels there was no need to add a P...and so that's what I did and I've been doing great with that (but I do watch those E. levels to not go over the 115 or so. Believe me just 'my' experience though for what it's worth. But I have to tell you my own gyne agreed with me 'off the record' but said he HAS to go by protocol and would deny it. *sigh* Just wrote in my files that he offered a progestin/progesterone but patient won't take it. That's fine. I'll take my own responsibility. Dee~ ============== Re: Triest gel Posted by: "Valarie " val@... val1198 Sat Feb 17, 2007 11:15 am (PST) I don't have any experience with a tri-est gel. I, however, would nevertake estrone (one of the three estrogens), and I see no reason to takeestriol either. I use estriol cream on my face.I'm guessing here that the progesterone cream began to build up in you andoverwhelmed the estrogen. Progesterone cream has not been shown in studiesto reliably protect the endometrium and it has a long half-life in fatstores. If you use any exogenous estrogen, I highly recommend you get a yearlyultrasound to be sure you're not developing any endometrial hyperplasia.Val
