Guest guest
> Hi, I am new to the group and very confused. I just started chelating my Son about 2 weeks ago. I read all of this about yeast, and enzymes. Yeast http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Enzymes http://www.houstonni.com/ http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/ >> My Dr. didn't mention any of that to me. My Son wont eat anything that is not dry and crunchy, so I dont know how I would get the enzymes into him anyway. Will he eat a bit of honey spread onto something dry and crunchy? That is how I give enzymes to my kids. >> The ONLY thing he will drink is milk. he used to drink everything, but now it is only milk. I tried Soy milk, and he hated it. Soy is chemically similar to milk. Consider a rice or potato variety. >> My son is non-verbal, so the way he lets me know he hates something is to throw it on the floor, and hand me a new cup. This is what *I* would do for that situation. You don't have to do this, but this worked VERY WELL for us when my son was at this stage. After he handed me a new cup, I would put it empty on the counter, and go to another room. This would cause my son to throw a tantrum, and I would pick him up and put him in his room until he was finished. Then he would be allowed to come out. If he went back to the cup, I would put the same thing in it that was in it before [altho not a lot, in case it hit the floor again]. If it hit the floor again, that would be all of his chances for a drink. I would then not give him anything more to drink for at least an hour. Any crying would result in him being put into his room until he stopped. The next time I offered him anything, it would only be water. And I would continue only offering water until he drank the water and put the cup on the counter when he was finished. All crying and/or tantrums would result in going to his room until he was finished, and no drink for an hour afterward. Even if this would take weeks, he would ONLY get water until he learned what to do. Once he learned, then I would allow another drink, like diluted juice or milk sub or something like that. If that cup hit the floor, back to water. > My Son is 4 years old and has high levels of Mercury and copper. For copper, consider adding zinc supplement. Start with low dose and work up. Mercury will require a protocol, you can read more about that here http://www.danasview.net/chelate.htm Dana
Guest guest
Anita, I leave on June 12th...will be gone for almost two weeks, arriving late on the 23rd. I can imagine that I will have a monstrous pile of work to tackle when I get back, not to mention the probable jet lag from leaving Delhi,India just after midnight and then chasing the sun east....I think our actual flight time is over 24 hours. I appreciate your prayers very, very much. I pray that my immune system will be strong enough to handle the new little creatures I am sure to encounter in India! We'll get together for sure--probably sometime in July, and hopefully Daryl can join us. God bless you Anita... Love, Patty > Hi Patty, > When are you leaving and how long will you be gone? Guest guest
Thank you for your reply Anita! If you get your children to drink the kefir, please let me know your secret, because mine will not drink it! ) Ginger
Guest guest
Ginger, Right now I'm using the CP D-lactate free plus culturelle. I've not been very on top of this myself and have stuck mostly with SuperProBio Gold and S. Boulaardi. I have been looking into others lately like Threelac (based on good parent reports, NOT on their marketing, which I don't like). Other parents will be able to give you some more answers. I am hoping to learn more about this myself, and will post eventually about it. Part of what I personally want to do is start using kefir. This is much less expensive and from what I've read can really fill the kids up with the good bacteria. Anita > > Anita, > > What brand probiotic do you use with your child? Guest guest
ThreeLac isn't really meant for repopulating the gut--the 3 strains were specifically chosen because of their appetite for candida. The company (Global Health Trax) actually makes a another probiotic blend for repopulating. I just found out about an intriguing blend, and I'm going to give it a try: http://www.crohns.net/page/C/PROD/Probiotic/OMX1030 Hoping this helps, Lalita On Jan 23, 2007, at 9:57 AM, Anita wrote: > Ginger, > > Right now I'm using the CP D-lactate free plus culturelle.
