My Rhuemy just switched me over to Kineret from Humira because the Humira was

not doing any good. My problem is that the insurance company will only pay 50%

for the kineret for reasons only they understand. My out of pocket expense will

be $805.00 a month of which I cannot afford. That is like having another house

payment! We are trying every thing we can to get the first months so I can at

least see if it is going to help or not before I lose my house over it. I

already tried the manufacturer with no luck and my doctor does not have any

samples. Does anyone know where we might find help? I am off the Humira now and

cannot get on the Kineret until I can pay for the scirpt. How long before being

off the Humira do I have before every thing really goes to hell in a hand

basket?

I know that there are organizations out there that will help I just don't know

who they are.

Please help...

,

If you find out what company produces Kineret they may offer their own discount

application to help pay for the medication. And there is the generic I believe

it is called Anakinra if I remember correctly perhaps this would be cheaper or

your insurance would cover more of it? I hope this helps.

, go to www.healthwellfoundation.org and check it out.  Also, www.copay.org

will help.

I used them to help pay for my Kineret, it involves getting some stuff filled

out from your doc, but I will advise you that your doc needs to put Rheumatoid

Arthritis as the diagnosis b/c these are disease specific programs and they

don't recognize Still's.

If you need any help with it, you can email me off list.

Good luck,

Gail

Gail,

Thank you so much for your input. I found a site that appears too good to be

true but they say that they are accepted at CVS pharmacies. A couple of the

sites I went to I found up to 75% coupons on almost every medication I and my

wife take. I am supposed to pick up the Kineret Monday afternoon so we will see

how good these coupons really are. I will let you know.

If you have no luck with these foundations, there are others that help. Let

me know, and I will spend time looking them up.

Hugs to all, Alli
