prednizone not working.... :(

As many of you know, I started Prednizone early this month. It seemed to be almost miraculous! It took a week, but then the pain began to ease and I had been feeling SO much relief.

The last couple of days, it's as if I'm not taking anything...I'm in fairly constant pain again, IBS kicking up big time - dry eyes and mouth - thrush still going on....and it's making me so incredibly sad. I was SO hesitant to take the Prednizone to begin with - and now that I'm feeling this way....I'm wondering if I should continue. I'm concerned about calling my doctor, in fear of him telling me to increase the dose! Taking 10mg was all I wanted to do!

If anyone out there has had experience with Prednizone and can offer some advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. My hips, knees, back and neck are really hurting. I haven't taken any pain meds, except for ibuprofen in a month!!!! - I'm so sensitive to pain meds that I don't take them unless absolutely necessary - and I'm getting to that point. The sensitivity I refer to is being incredibly "hung over" and sick feeling - no matter what the meds the doc has prescribed and I've tried EVERYTHING. The one that has the fewest side affects is morphine sulfate - but MORPHINE????? Like I want to take that???? I do, when I have to....but geeze.

I really need support and advice today. I have my daughter and grandkids with me until Monday and I really really want to be present to them....
