Being NT does not make a person less intelligent nor does being AS make you more intelligent. AS, from what I have read is often associated with an aptitude towards technical thinking. My father was AS and my husband and many of his family members are AS and I have experienced them being very manipulative and less than forthcoming at times. I think these are human traits rather than AS or NT. There are AS individuals who work as janitors and NT persons who work as recognized scientists, doctors and inventors. Intelligence in my opinion is not the only or necessarily the most important or admirable trait an individual can possess. I say average has it's place too. Einstein was NT and is known for his kind heart and sense of humor among other milestones. A certain portion of his brain was found to have been larger than average which some believe may have contributed to his higher IQ. Many Nobel prize winners have been NT and some have had mental illnesses such as schizophrenia. Each of us have amazing capabilities along with short comings. It is the shared human experience to overcome these obstacles and along the way isn't it nice when a hand is held out when you stumble and fall? In the end I find we are all seeking the same basic thing. We all seem to benefit and find comfort from acceptance, compassion and understanding. Those are my thoughts based on my experiences. Enjoy the day! ~ K D
