Guest guest
I'm home! Of course, I did not have any possible seizures in the hospital, but I had one at home this AM. I am suppose to follow up with a seizure specialist, not the neurologist who was assigned to the unit while I was there. I found an amazing product (Collodion Remover by Mavidon through Amazon.com) to remove the electrode glue. It just took spraying, letting it soak in to dissolve the glue for an hour, showering, lots of conditioner & some shampoo at the end if the shower, and combing with a wide tooth then a small tooth comb. I think all of the white glue flakes are even gone now. I'm wearing a white shirt today just in case! I plan to enjoy my first full day back at home. I really love my home! Guest guest
Barbara, That was always my luck with EEG's - I'd be fine during the test and then something would happen on the way home or soon after I got there. My neurologist finally diagnosed me on the basis of symptoms and pattern of reaction to things like medications (ones that induce or increase them and ones that reduce them or make them go away), lights and hormones. What she told me was that an EEG is one of those tests where a positive means something was found but a clear EEG only means they didn't catch anything during the test, not necessarily that you don't have seizures. She said with my pattern of clear reactions it was " easier to go ahead and figure I had them than to argue for a video EEG and then spend the time and misery doing one " . At least you got the goo off. That stuff is the worst. Dee > ** > > > I'm home! Of course, I did not have any possible seizures in the hospital, > but I had one at home this AM.
