Conspire literally means, " to breathe together " and

" to act in harmony. "

Aren't those definitions much better?

Conspiring we are. We must.

For every person and penny we have working on this

cause, " they " have 1000 covering up the truth and

swaying the media and he public.

It's truly, now . . . or now.

After hearing rumblings from a number of you on a

recent CBS Saturday Morning program with Dr. Bernadine

Healy, I did a little research on this incredibly

powerful woman.

She speaks the total party line on how safe implants

are, and what a mistake it was to remove them from the

market in 1992. Ad nauseum. Well, it appears that Dr.

Healy, former head of the NIH, is the only woman Board

Member of Medtronics, silicone device manufacturer.

She also is a Trustee of the Hudson Organization, on

the board with the Burston Marstellar CEO and

President.

She is out and about, here, there and everywhere,

spreading the gospel of the manufacturers, Marcia

Angell (redundant) and the IRG. Very dangerous to the

women of the world.

We can not allow the conclusions coming from the

National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine,

in July, 1999, to be as the travesty of the

" Independent Research Group " published in Britain last

month. Their super slick 36 page booklet: Silicone Gel

Breast Implants: The Report of the Independent Review

Group, reads like a marketing piece for the plastic

surgeons. What a coincidence. It is.

The British Plastic Surgeons have obviously figured

out they have a great, lucrative market luring

American girls to Britain where silicone gel flows as

freely as motor oil.

I just saw a ish TV Frontline Program where Dr.

Souter, Head of Plastics at his ish

Hospital, was declaring a " problem " rate of well under

5%. Our Scots sister, Margo Cameron, had done a great

job getting this filmed, and Dr. Garry was interviewed

and explained his study published last year in the

respected British medical journal, The Lancet.

At the conference, many of " their " speakers used this

IRG propaganda as back up to their conclusions.

We had around 80 speakers in the two days, and I

enjoyed conversations with probably 200 others. It was

fascinating. Overload of info, though, which I'm still

processing.

" They " were so obvious. During breaks, they would

huddle together ~ Noel Rose, Lyin' Lizzie Connell,

Leroy Young, Brent, Rosemary Locke (Y-ME),

Jack Fisher and assorted defense attorneys looking

very smug and proud. Scheming. Scamming.

Their clumps were best described by Dr. Garry as

looking like granulomas.

I enjoyed eavesdropping on them eavesdropping on us.

As Friday came to a close, however, their smugness

lifted and it appeared obvious that the worms were

turning. The women were heard! Our doctors were so

credible. Theirs so dismissive. They looked much less

self assured. For now, I'll give a few of my favorite

moments:

*** Dr. Pierre Blais, waving a baggy with a saline

implant, so black with fungus and mold, that we could

see it clearly half way back in the audience.

*** Dr. Deapen, practically endorsing silicone

implants to " prevent " breast cancer.

*** Our Lyndsy Frey, out of frustration beyond words,

" going off " on the Dow Dudes (there for damage

control) after lunch on Wednesday. With CNN cameras

rolling, she emotionally told of her humiliating

experience with the Dow attorneys during her

deposition in May, 95.

She explained ~ quite emphatically ~ how they taunted

her and asked sexual questions regarding the

electronic stimulator in her groin damaged by

migrating silicone. How Dow sleazed into bankruptcy

immediately before her trial was to start. And how her

life and health have gone downhill ever since.

When the Dow Doctor came to speak only moments later,

he was visibly and audibly shaken. Lyndsy is having

her implants finally removed in the upcoming weeks. It

also appears that some news programs have picked up

her story.

Although Lyndsy's approach may have been less than

" professional " ~ it sure got the Committee's attention

and changed the energy closer to the reality of how

silicone reacts in a body. She has my love and prayers

*** Mentor Corp was there in full force bragging of

their 5 year " studies. " Not very convincing for a

lifetime medical device. Certainly rang hollow.

When our Kim Hoffman spoke, however, it became clear

to all, including the FDA woman I was sitting with,

that the Mentor " study " was fixed.

Kim beautifully explained how after multiple ruptures,

her PS refused to report them to Mentor. Then Mentor

wouldn't accept her reporting ~ requiring the damaging

evidence to be submitted by a doctor ~ who wouldn't.

It was awesome. Very revealing. The FDA woman was

clear that they would look at Mentor and their results

even more closely now. ***Jackie Strange was wonderful

as she shared her personal story of being former

Deputy Postmaster General and other prestigious

posiions, then becoming crippled from her implants.

*** The Dr. Epstein Explosion. She's an OB/GYN

(I believe) who has been riding Jama Russano and Dr.

Levine for four years publicly and in print. No

exception here. She emphatically told our Nikki

Kaufman, that she was very sorry her daughter was ill,

but that her " implants had NOTHING to do with it. "

Wonder what scientific data she was using!?

Stranger still was 's history with silicone.

Apparently her PS husband, illegally injected silicone

into a patient's lips. The patient or her heir (I

forget if she survived or not) was suing 's

husband and he committed suicide. More silicone

devastation. obviously is out of control and on

a mission. She " knows " silicone is safe to second

generations. Obviously " pure " science.

*** The Candlelite Vigil was very moving and almost

too real. Many photos. Many tears. As the list of our

departed silicone sisters was read, many of us broke

down. Uneeda told of losing 8 women in her support

group in around a year.

Our mighty opposition, though crumbling, will not go

tenderly into the nite. They will fight us tooth and

nail. With all they have, which is plenty.

They aren't giving up. We've already seen a slew of

" Opinions " and Editorials for their side. Our doctors

will surely be attacked and pulled apart with

ferocity.

We will be fought on every front. Here on the net is

no exception.

Your voices are being heard however, and we can change

things if we keep the pressure on. The Plastic

Surgeon's Education Fund (PSEF) ~ the same group who

purchased the Mayo and Harvard teeny, short, flawed,

skewed, biased studies, are on a huge marketing

campaign.

The PS's are touting the " safety " of saline just as

they touted the " safety " of gel a few years back. They

want the business. That's why we are seeing so many

magazine and newspaper articles on the resurrgeance of

implants. I'll close with this anecdote.

Struck up a conversation on the plane with a gentleman

whose ex still had her implants, and " loved them,

absolutely no problems whatsoever. " When I later asked

him what she did for a living, he said she couldn't

work, and had been on disability, for chronic fatigue

for the last two years.
