Guest guest
Hi , Here is some of what I have---One of the older members of the " silverlist " told what to get & how to take it---Get--20 Mule Team Borax---Not the Laundry soap--the pure Borax... Wet your index finger up to the first joint---put it in the borax & that is your proper dose.. I have a jar of it by my table & take it 2 or 3 times a week..Lois-- Here is the info-- Boron Uses of Boron Scientific Name(s):Boron, boric acid, sodium borate Common Name(s): Boron Boric acid is a topical astringent, mild disinfectant and eye wash. Sprinkled in crevices and corners, boric acid powder controls rodents and insects. Sodium borate is used in cold creams, eye washes and mouth rinses. Boron compounds are used to enhance the cell selectivity of radiation therapy. Boron Dosing>>>Boron has been studied in several clinical studies at a wide range of doses. Daily dosage of 2.5 to 6 mg as boron has been administered for osteoarthritis and strength conditioning. Intravaginal boric acid (600 mg daily) was administered for vulvovaginal candidiasis. A single dose of 102.6 mg sodium tetraborate was studied for its effects on factor VIIa. Contraindications Contraindications have not yet been identified.>>>Pregnancy/--Lactation Information regarding safety and efficacy in pregnancy and lactation is lacking.>>>Boron Interactions-----None well documented.>>>Boron Adverse Reactions There is little or no clinical data about the adverse effects of boron; boron compounds can be toxic to humans. Toxicology-----While boric acid, borates, and other compounds containing boron are used medicinally, they are potentially toxic if ingested or absorbed through nonintact skin. The element boron (B, atomic number 5) is found in deposits in the earth's crust at a concentration of about 0.001%. It is obtained in the form of its compounds and never in its elemental state. _1_ (http://www.drugs.com/npp/boron.html#ref1) Environmental boron is taken up by plants in trace amounts, thereby contributing to dietary boron intake. Boron was originally obtained in 1895 from the reduction of boric anhydride; today this remains a commercially important way to produce impure boron. Pure boron takes the form of clear red or black crystals, depending upon its crystalline shape. _1_ (http://www.drugs.com/npp/boron.html#ref1) The crystals can be as hard as diamonds. The chemistry of boron is extremely complex, with entire texts devoted solely to this topic.>>>History------Boron has been used in nuclear chemistry as a neutron absorber. It has also been added to other metals to form harder alloys. In medicine, boron is most commonly found in the form of boric acid, which is used as a topical astringent and anti-infective, as well as an ophthalmologic irrigant. Sodium borate is bacteriostatic and is commonly added to cold creams, eye washes and mouth rinses.Read more: _http://www.drugs.com/npp/boron.html#ixzz0tDXvHgFd_ (http://www.drugs.com/npp/boron.html#ixzz0tDXvHgFd)
Guest guest
Hello All,  I have been alkalizing my water with 20 mule team borax - 1/4 teaspoon in one liter of filtered or distilled (VERY IMPORTANT) water and drinking it throughout the day for almost 3 years now. I also add 3 teaspoons of xylitol, sea salt and epsom salt to the mix. I drink it for 4 weeks, 5 days on, 2 days off then I take a 2 week break and start again.  It has alkalized my body and has aided in my fight against nail fungus.  I can only find 20 mule team at my local grocery store (Price Chopper where I live). Once I get it home I store it in an air tight glass pyrex dish.  Feel free to ask me any questions.  God bless! >________________________________ > >To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO >Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2011 10:10 AM >Subject: Re: Need information on Boron > > > >Hi , Here is some of what I have---One of the older members of the > " silverlist " told what to get & how to take it---Get--20 Mule Team >Borax---Not the Laundry soap--the pure Borax... Guest guest
http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2003/07/24/how_to_cheaply_obtain_use_boron\ _for_arthritis.htm http://www.jonesfiber.com/Boron%20Toxicity%20-The%20Facts.pdf http://www.algaecal.com/boron/boron-benefits.html LM, this may only help a little, in my training in nutrition/dietetics, it was often expressed the importance of minerals, as they ultimately control vitamins and their processes. Medical professionals are not trained in which side of their toast to butter, and it often shows in their research. Estrogen takes the blame, testosterone takes the blame. But is it the hormones or the lack of minerals that control those hormones? It gives me an air of excitement when someone takes an interest in minerals, iodine/boron, for their own health, I think it is good, david lubbock tx.
