I am scheduled for explant on Monday and have been eating grapes,

almonds, cucumbers, raspberries, etc....although I have stopped Vit E

and other supplements. Why are these foods not advised prior to surgery?

I am not exactly sure wht is in each of the foods to avoid.... just

stop now and you'll be fine. Remember, most doctors don't even give

out such lists, Dr. Feng is very proactive in patients overall

health.

I was told that the foods are to be avoided because they thin your blood.... for example almonds are very rich in Vitamin E... which thins the blood.
