Guest guest
Greetings Dragon Slayers~ I've been taking some programs..six weeks, three days a week from 9am to 3pm. For me a grind considering I volunteer Mondays and Tuesdays. My only PJ day is Sunday. However, I have learned a few things I'd like to share with Y'all! The first and foremost " thang " , and it runs through as a constant thread to all we do. " Self-Care " ! We all seem to be type-A personalities, and as such, even though we live with a Chronic Disease/ Pain, and depression; we " still " tend to try and be caregivers, strong and tough. What we don't do, is truly look after ourselves. Doing things that fill the bucket back up. A warm bubble bath, votive candles, favourite music... read a favourite book, if you can't concentrate enough to read ( I know I cannot concentrate enough to read a book), try an audio book..libraries have them to lend. If you're able, take your dog for a stroll! Something that gives YOU pleasure, something that lets you know that you are loved....by yourself. These are really simple things, but can make an enormous difference in how you treat yourself, and how you feel. I personally am sick and tired of being sick and tired, and anything that can change that mindset is a good thing. Remember we're worth it! More later...gotta make some supper and feed Jakers. Smiles and regards Cat
