Guest guest
I'm pushing 23 years with Stills Disease. Weekly Enbrel injections keep the disease at bay, but as most people find, they must always be cautious and watch for the dreaded signs. The first ten years, I had no problem sleeping, in fact, it was quite the opposite. My husband would wake me for meals, sometimes I'd sleep for 24 hours. I never had trouble sleeping until I got the illness under control. Now I suffer from terrible insomnia, and am finding others who are fairly stable to stable who are having trouble with insomnia. I know all the things I'm supposed to do -- exercise early in the day, no caffeine from mid-afternoon, no alcohol, no television in the bedroom (okay, guilty of that), etc., etc. I'm going to ask some of my food-expert friends if they know of anything that will be helpful. I already take a sleeping pill every night, but it seems to have lost its effectiveness. Anyone have ideas? In the meantime, I'm going to research this with folks I trust and will share any information. Peace (in the middle of the night), Barbara Gardner Ventura, CA
