has posted before about her numbers...they went from something

like 12,000 to 70.

In my case, I wasn't diagnosed with thyroid antibodies until August

of 2002, fully 4 and a half years after explant. I have no clue as

to when it actually became abnormal, as no doctor had previously

tested it. I could have had Hashimoto's from the beginning of my

illness and just didn't know because nobody tested it.

In the months following my original testing, my anti-thryoid

antibodies went from 7.9 in August 2002 to greater than 70 in

December 2003. So, it looks like they were climbing.

Since I had already suspected some type of thyroid problem, I had

gotten armour thyroid on my own, and was taking it prior to my

Hashimoto's diagnosis. So, when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's my

naturopathic physician added cytomel. When I decided to see a real

endocrinologist, he took me off of it. But I felt better on it, so

my naturopath gave it to me again. This was over a period of a year

or so. I began doing other things that I think helped me....like

starting raw milk products. I found after going on those that I

didn't need my thryoid meds as much...I was feeling really good.

So, I when I ran out of my cytomel, I didn't refill it, and then I

just kinda weaned off of the armour as well, because I would forget

to take it and felt good anyway.

I wish I had more concrete ideas about how I got off my thyroid

meds. It just sort of happened. The only thing I know I did

consistently was coffee enemas, eat well, and then add the raw milk

products. No special supplements that I can remember, though I've

tried many, including the progesterone creams.

There was a book I bought called, " How I Reversed My Hashimoto's

Thyroiditis Hypothyroidism " , when I first got sick. Don't buy the

book...it was a waste of money, though when I bought it from

Amazon.com in fall 2002, it had reviews with 5 stars, so I expected

alot from it. I sold it quickly on their marketplace site to someone

else, as it was very skeletal in info. But what I did gather from it

was that he reversed his diagnosis primarly through diet. So, I

believe diet plays a big part in our thyroid issues, as I think

will confirm with her gluten sensitivity as well.

Hope this helps you!
