Rogene: questions about Dr. Blais

Rogene,

Mine had been sent originally to Quest for general weighing, that

sort of thing, no destructive testing. They found a few things, but

no organisms. I then had them shipped to Dr. Blais, who said these

organisms can't be cultured in only 4 days!

He drew about 20 ccs from each implant and cultured Aspergillus and

Staff from the left implant. My implants had been kept according to

his specifications, so I believe his tests were very accurate. In

my case, both valves were defective, causing a pumping type method

which pulled tissue and other debris into the implant causing

infection, and releasing it back into my body. He drew a diagram

which explains how this happens. It was very informative.

The only thing which really scared me at the time were his concerns

about long term illness. The prognosis for a full recovery

was " iffy " at best. I do appreciate his candid remarks though.
