DITTO, of course.

Too cheap to get a trainer, but man I want one.

Same neck issues, with spondylosis of the discs in there. Need to keep working on strengthening them.

You are so proactive, you make me look bad and I am so proactive of anyone I know.

Where do you live!?? I am in Woodland Hills, Ca.

My dog is dying of Cushing's Disease, which is a slow growing brain cancer which sends too much cortisone to her liver, doubling and tripling the size of it, thereby also damaging other organs. She is on meds for that. Then she wound up getting congenital heart failure over it and she is on meds for that. Then her trachea started to collapse and she chokes from all of the water she drinks because the Cushing's makes her thirsty. So, the water gets trapped, thereby straining her heart (which is already bad and beating at 200 a minute) and then she is on pills for that too. Now, because of the heart failure, her water she drinks is getting trapped in her stomach and not sent to her bladder enough and she is bloating like a giant Buddha and we have to have her stomach drained at the vet weekly. It takes 45 minutes and they take out about 1000 cc a week (4 pounds or one liter) and she now only weighs 13 pounds anyway. She used to weigh 24 pounds in better days, although she should have weighed 18. Every day I go to the vet, I think THIS IS IT, but she manages to pull through............but one day soon, she won't bounce back. It has been a nightmare, with nightly middle of the night bathroom runs, sleep is disturbed and I never have the energy for morning workouts. In the evening is the yoga.

Hi,

I have IC, neck and back pain and it isn’t from implants because I never had them. There is a percentage of the population that will develop autoimmune and other problems anyway. I am so thankful that I don’t have to wonder if it is implants that have caused the problems I have. The only way an implanted woman will know if it is her implants causing her health issues is to explant and see if her health improves.

Kenda

-

Sandy

I have a girlfriend who has saline implants too who has interstitial

cystitis, chronic neck, shoulder and back pain etc and insists that

it isn't from her implants. There is nothing more I can say or our

friendship will suffer. I know how very hard it is to make the

decision you are facing now for alot of different reasons and most

of us have been in the very same boat. How will I look? What will

my husband think about it? And more importantly ---will I get

better? Unfortunately nothing in life comes with guarantees. This

is true every time we decide to take a risk. There is no way to

tell for sure if your implants are causing your symptoms. But the

only way to find out is to get them out. For the overwhelming

majority of women who come to this site and get explanted, that is

the right choice. They are so relieved and regaining their health

is the best thing that could have ever happened. Even those who

haven't regained all their health are glad to have had them out. I

haven't personally ever heard a woman on this site say she regretted

having them out and I have been here almost four years. If you

don't get them out, you will never know if it could have made a

difference. Also, since you are convinced that women do get sick

from implants, if they haven't caused you to be sick yet, you will

always wonder if they will cause you to get sick down the road. I

would say that knowing what you know about implants, you will never

be able to be happy with them in again. Go with what your heart

tells you. I believe that deep down we know what is the right

answer, if we would only listen to that still deep place within us

which I feel God communes with us. I am praying that God will give

you a peace about your situation so that you will feel confident in

what you decide to do.

Hi,

I do it all, with the exception of the fibro drug — I haven’t had fibro symptoms in several years. I have taken yoga lessons for five years and love it. It definitely lowers stress, I deal with stress so much better now than I used to. I take magnesium, along with many other supplements. I also see a chiropractor, usually weekly, although I’d like it if my neck could last a bit longer than that. I’m trying to strengthen my neck in yoga. I had a car accident several years ago and it really wrenched my neck. My goal for the year is to strengthen it. I weight train 3 times per week as well and that has helped my back tremendously. I have a herniated L5/S1 and nothing helped it until I hit the gym.

Kenda

Kenda,

Try yoga, daily magnesium malate available at Vitamin Shoppe.

I did that, and lowered my stress level. It helps to see a chiropractor weekly if possible. I improved 60 percent, but by now taking Cymbalta (the new fibromyalgia drug), my pain and knots decreased so much, I am about 85 Percent pain free.

Hi Aylene,

I’m sorry about your sick dog. What’s wrong with it? :( I had mine at our local dog club’s agility trial today. He passed his beginning agility test!! :) Tomorrow he gets to go to the Dog Dish for treats and a new toy. Super Dog!!

You mean to say I have a twin? :) Do you also have liver problems? I do lots of detoxing, even though I have never had implants. When I first started at the gym, I was taking daily prescription anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers on occasion. Today my back is pain free nearly all the time. I started out very easily and gained core strength first. I have a trainer at the gym so I leave my plan up to him. Because my back was so weak to start with, I didn’t feel I could train on my own without injuring myself. We do a lot of back and core work, along with upper and lower body training. I do free weights and the machines. I can’t even begin to tell you how much the gym has helped me. I never dreamed I could be out of back pain, I really thought I’d be having back surgery instead. My chiro told me years ago to prolong surgery as long as possible because technology changes and the surgeries will be better in the future. I really doubt I’ll need surgery.

I had prolotherapy in my low back, sacrum and shoulder a year ago, which repairs torn and stretched ligaments. Prolotherapy is where injections of saline/and/or glucose and phenol are injected in small amounts in injured areas. The areas then swell, bringing blood flow to an injured area. The area then heals again and is stronger. I also had prolo on a torn rotator cuff injured in yoga. It healed the injury but I lost some of my range of motion as a result. I am now trying to get it back through yoga and gym work. My neck remains weak because I don’t like working it because I get headaches and neck pain following, which seems to last forever. I know I have to do it because it will not heal on its own. A friend had prolo on her neck and had all kinds of problems with it so I don’t want to go that route, even though it would probably help.

What have you done for your problems?

Kenda

I have all of the same problems, same improvement and the same plan, including the other supplements. We sound like the same person, even with the same disc issue and the same neck problem from an accident. What kind of weight training do you do. I used to do it more, but I had some problems with a sick dog, so tell me what you do....

Thanks,

Aylene

Priscilla is adorable! I am so sorry you are going through all of this with her. I am a pet lover and it tears me up when they are sick. I had Max at our vet Thursday because he seemed lethargic after class — more so than normal. His heart rate was 60! They did an EKG and found irregularities in his heart. Tuesday he gets an ultrasound. He already has IRB and had knee surgery at 6 months old and has a slow thyroid. He is our million dollar dog but we wouldn’t take another dog in his place!

The trainer is expensive but it is so worth it. If you can afford to do it, even for a month or so and learn how to work on your own. I have kept one for nearly 6 years and consider it a necessity for my quality of life. Because of my back problems, it is even tax deductible! :)

I have to be proactive. I lived for several years in constant pain. I had fibro, IC, back pain, terrible allergies and sinus infections, IB and lord knows what else. I felt like I was dying. Medical doctors couldn’t help me so I turned to natural medicine. Natural medicine has been a godsend for me. I no longer have fibro pain, back pain or IB and the IC pain is 95% gone. I can eat/drink most anything without it flaring my bladder. Lemonade is probably one thing I will never be able to drink. I take tons of supplements and have regular checkups with my ND, including lots of lab work to see exactly what is going on with my body — I’m a test junkie.

thank you Rogene.

I took my implants out in 1999. Glad I did........but they were silicone. Both were burst. Spent years watching silicone migrate around with bumps under my skin. Felt like crap too.

I am so sad for my doggy. I have been through a lot and now my dog too! We are a sick bunch over here.

Aylene,

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. She looks

beautiful. I know your heart is breaking into tiny

bits as you watch her go through this.

Please take extremely good care of yourself while

you're going through this! Something we've noticed

among implant women is that we do not handle stress

well. It can set us back dramatically, even when we've

been doing really well.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Unfortunately we have heard that before. It just makes me sick that

doctors would lie about what kind of implants they gave you. It

appears to be of no consequence to them whatsoever. Maybe they

really are as ignorant as they appear---and also without conscience--

apparently they enjoy playing god with someone else's life.

I am really sorry about your dog. My sister's cairn terrier had

that too. She lived quite awhile with it. I have a dog that has

many problems also. He has megaesophagus and he was not supposed to

make it past 2 years old. He just turned six a couple of weeks

ago. He costs us a fortune and is sick quite often, but like you, I

would do anything to keep him going. They are just so loving and

sweet. But I do know the stress of his illness and he has many,

many sleepless nights and he comes and gets me and I hold him

upright and massage his neck until he gets calmed down, quits

choking, and can go back to sleep. So I know the stress on you must

be quite high right now. I will remember you and priscilla in my

prayers.
