Guest guest
Actually, if I am not mistaken the chat was Wednesday night and I was logged into the chat room from 8:11 pm until almost 8:29 pm central time. I was the only one logged in. There was one other person who came and went before I did. I was hoping to have a nice chat and put out it the open everything we have discussed in posts all week. There seemed to be a little bit of controversery as well as doubt in diagnosis and in doctor/ patient trust and it is very important that we avoid controversy and all doubt needs to be cleared. We are indeed a very diverse group. In fact I have talked to a Still's patient who tested positive for all the RA markers and all the Still's markers. The doctor decided it was best for the patient to label them with RA and not use the Still's diagnosis, even though he firmly believes the patient to have Still's, for two reasons. One, insurance is more likely to allow for different meds and other treatments based on a RA diagnosis then a Still's diagnosis, and I am sure we have all seen that before and 2) You treat RA and Still's with the exact same medications. So where an insurance company will not allow for Kineret on a Still's diagnosis they will allow it for an RA diagnosis. I will be waiting in the chat room next Wednesday night however, if anyone wants to chat prior to that I believe we can use the chat room any time for constructive chatsabout our battle. Guest guest
Amen Cat! I appreciate and support ALL that you have said here! I remember early-on in my Disease progression finding and joining this wonderful group! One of my earliest impressions was the wealth of information both of a personal and clinical nature.....i also recall that i was never attacked nor judged....personal experiences were just that: personal (and presented as such). Too many of us have been pressured by those in the medical community who put little to no credence in what we report abour our OWN bodies! So, we certainly do not need nor desire to exoerience that here! I have ALWAYS found support, compassion, truth and love....unconditionally.....i try very hard as do most others to give as we want to be given to....thank you Cat, and others, again! Love and God's Blessings to you all! Larry Brown -
