Guest guest
The sauna is wonderful for cleansing but, I would only go in for 10-15min max. Also, Carrots are naturally sweet a good book for juicing is the juicemans power of juicing. It has a ton of info and recipes. Hope that helps Renea --- Dawn A <daldre@...> wrote: > > Does anyone know if it is okay to go in the sauna while juice fasting? > > Also, since I have candida I know I cannot juice any fruit... but should > I also cut out carrots too? > > Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks, > > Dawn > > > --------------------------------- > Discover > Have fun online with music videos, cool games, IM & more. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I think it would be okay to go into the sauna while juice fasting. I am fasting right now--water only--and planned on using my sauna this evening. (It is my second day of fasting). I believe that the sauna will help our bodies continue the detoxing in a deeper way. I have fasted and used my infrared sauna in the past with no problems. I think you just need to make sure you don't have the heat too high, or don't stay in too long. Pay attention to how you feel through the sauna, and get out when you feel you've had enough. I know I've stayed in too long before, and actually felt weak and overheated from it afterwards. Otherwise, the heat really helps, as the metabolic rate slows down during a fast, and I tend toward getting chilled. I find the sauna very soothing. As for the candida and carrot juice, I would say to be on the safe side to cut back on the carrots, but not necessarily cut them out completely. They do have alot of good nutrients. But you are right, they do have alot of natural sugars in them too, so you don't want to be juicing them alone all the time. I used to do that early in my juicing days, (carrot and apple were my favorite, just like Jay " the Juiceman " Kordich, who cured his cancer using juices), but I was unaware of the need to be judicious in their use. I probably didn't help any candida situation I might have had, as I drank lots of carrot juice. It sounds like you are using your head about it, and that is good! Keep up the great work! You've had a great recovery so far! I am really happy for you! Guest guest
Definitely cut out carrots, they have a very high sugar content. Adding garlic is good! Kenda Does anyone know if it is okay to go in the sauna while juice fasting? Also, since I have candida I know I cannot juice any fruit... but should I also cut out carrots too? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dawn Discover Have fun online with music videos, cool games, IM more. Guest guest
- Dawn carrots are high on the glycemic index so that probably wouldn't be best. HOwever, I had candida problems and used to juice apple/carrot combo and never felt it made anything worse. I think as long as you don't feel weak from the juice fasting--I didnt--the sauna would be ok. Just don't overdo it.
