My name is Ronnie Genser and I am the LBDA Support Group Coordinator.

I wish to bring to your attention that the LBDA has just added two

new support groups to their list of support groups

(http://www.lewybodydementia.org/sptgroups.php) - one in Boston and

one in Wilmington, North Carolina (not Delaware).

We now have 10 support groups - 9 in the U.S. and 1 in Toronto,

Ontario, Canada. Our goal is to have 20 support groups by the end of

2007. If you are interested in becoming a support group facilitator

(no experience necessary), please call me at from 6:00

pm - 9:30 pm ET weekdays or from 9:00 am - 9:30 pm ET on weekends. I

would be happy to assist you in forming a support group.

Thanks so much.

Regards,

Ronnie Genser

P.S. Since I am not a spouse, I hope someone who subscribes to the

LBD_caringspouses group could post this message in their discussion

forum. Thanks so much.

Ronnie: I forwarded this to the Caring Spouses group

with a request that anyone who knew someone that might

be interested to call me. I have one for sure person;

another who was interested but now has declined. One

of the ones that I was planning on calling just lost

her mother this last week, so I don't know if she is

going to be interested now or not.

June,

Thanks for forwarding this to the caring spouses group. In the future,

I'll communicate with you directly about posting my notices there.

Thanks also for information on the formation of your group. If you give

me your basic information (group name), I'll get it posted with your

contact information on the LBDA website so people in the Topeka - Kansas

City area can contact you about your group.

Note: If anyone in the Topeka - Kansas City area is looking for a group,

please contact

<mailto:jchristensen1953@...?Subject=%20Re%3A%20New%20LBDA%20Suppo

rt%20Groups> jchristensen1953@... as there is a group in formation

that is not yet posted on the LBDA website. Thanks.

Regards,

Ronnie Genser

I think I will call it the Topeka-NE Kansas Dementia

Support Care group. I hesitate to call it LBD, which

I would rather, but I'm afraid it will drive some away

if they haven't been dx'd as LBD. I'm going down to

the library today to check dates and rooms and hope to

set up the first meeting in March.
