,

I'm glad you've found an understanding doctor! . . .

That makes all the difference!

However December is an awfully long way off when

you're symptomatic.

Explantation is not all that difficult. You shouldn't

be incapacitated more than a day or so, even if you're

sore for another week. It's not nearly as painful as

implanting.

How old is your son? If you could have your surgery on

a Friday, and have your son stay with a friend over

the weekend, you should be ready for him by Monday.

You'll want someone with you for 24 hours after

surgery, just because you've just had surgery. Some

ladies are out shopping the next day! The drains are a

nusiance, since they don't fit well under regular

clothing, and get in the way a bit. . . but they're

worth it!

There is no reason to worry about being deformed in

the hands of a good surgeon! . . . You were 100% right

in leaving the first guy in the dust. . . He's

speaking of HIS skills! Check the photo section in

this group. You'll be fine! . . .

Just ask some of the ladies here who were so terribly

apprehensive before their surgery! They are doing

great and happy to be rid of their toxic bags!

If you decide to wait, I'd suggest that you start on a

detox program now . . . Dr. Kolb has one that should

help. www.plasticos.com The idea is not to lose ground

while you're waiting!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

: YOu won't believe how fast you will recover from surgery. I

am only 12 days post-explant (my doc was very caring too) and I

already look pretty much like I did before. I have actually lost a

little wait since implant, but I am basically the same. I have very

little breast tissue and my nipples are not inverted. Dont think it

won't be hard the first couple of days--I even had a spot about the

diameter of a fifty-cent piece that was concaved in my chest. But it

has already filled back out. In terms of looks, as long as you have

no complications (make sure he uses drains) then you will be looking

good long before June for your wedding (congrats, by the way!)

Anyway, don't sweat it--it is soooo much easier than implant. You

have a good doc that cares about your outcome--that's all you need!!

Hugs, Shana

Hi, I am explanting June 6th and was basically told the same

thing...that I would be flat completely flat following the operation.

I also don't know if my saline implants are the cause of my symptoms

but as this doctor said, the only way you will find out is by removing

them and seeing if the symptoms go away. I have to keep reading these

postings regularly because I am getting very nervous and sometimes

think I might be making a mistake, but after reading these threads, I

come away convinced I am making the right decision, as I believe you

are as well. For the record, my gyn also told me NOT to remove them,

that there is absolutely no correlation between the implants and

thyroid problems, which even though he is a pretty high-profile

doctor, I thought it was a rather narrow-minded limited and ignorant

thing to say.

When thesen doctors tell you breast implants are safe,

ask them what proof THEY have implants are safe?

Forget the manufacturer sponsored studies! . . . Stick

to the facts! . . . Safety hasn't been proven yet!

I had my explant about two months ago. I feel better than i have in

years. I was a C cup befor I had implants and I am a C cup after

removal. All of my doctors told me that having them removed would

not make a difference. They were wrong! I would have them removed

again in a minute even if I were to have no breasts left. I am

living a mostly pain free life and participating in life like

a " normal " human being. My life and my family are more important to

me than my breasts.

My implants were yellow when they were removed and my internist told

me that I had been having an allergic reaction to them. He said that

he was going to send a paper to the CDC about me. He was puite

supprised at the lab findings. However I think that we may never

know what turned the implants yellow because the surgon sent them

back to the manufacturer.

Good luck with your surgery! I hope that you get the results that

you are looking for.

What are you symptoms? I am working on convincing my wife that her

implants are causes her problems (joint pain, swollen fingers,

fatigue, etc.)
