Guest guest
I don't know what the entire list for chemical sensitivities includes, but I know that they'd test for things like latex allergy, and allergies to ingredients in certain cleaning supplies. I've been putting off the panel of tests my self because it will require my husband to take time off work to drive me there and back after... but since I've been hyper-aware of sets me off it hasnt' seemed that urgent. If I was having constant problems and wasn't able to pin it on a set of known triggers, I'd be on the phone making that appointment. And yeah, I CAN be very motherly. It's funny because I've chosen not to adopt, and can't have children biologically... but I figure that by not having children, that has freed me up to "mother" whoever needs it. There are things I can get away with telling people that they wouldn't accept from their OWN mothers, but will accept from me... so I feel like I have identified at least ONE of my purposes in this life! And now I'm going to go out in the kitchen and make attempt #3 to bake bread -- with brand new yeast this time -- since the last two batches refused to rise even though the yeast was supposed to be good til August 2004... :-( Eve
