lol... Good luck!! I have an extra tv in the dining room that doubles as a

place for the boys to play gamecube & a place for me to work out when the tv

is occupied. Which is almost always until after 8:30 ;)

Your schedule looks great!!

> I added resistance training this week! :-)

yay!!!! you know that i am just thrilled to hear this and that you like it

so much!!! fabulous!!! you go stephen!! you are trucking right along!!

i have a small brag today! i bought a pair of pants the other day because

they were on sale and a really good deal. i had thought 'i know that they

will be too small, but i can add them to my collection of clothes that i

want to fit into some day'... well i tried them on this morning and by

gosh! they fit!!!! i am just thrilled that im finally getting somewhere!

one more small brag from me for today and that is that ive worked out every

day this week so far... aiming for 6 days a week of working out and after i

do my weight training today, i will have made it to 5 days this week. im

pretty proud of myself because ive had a busy week and opportunites to skip

a couple of workouts but i squeezed them in later in the day! wow!! this

is really good for me.

also ive finally figured out how to schedule my ultimate abs and butt tapes,

which is a relief.

my schedule now looks like this:

mon - taebo and stretching

tue - weights and stretching

wed - abs & glutes challenge (billys abs & glutes workout or pilates)

thurs - taebo and stretching

fri - weights and stretching

sat - ultimate abs or ultimate glutes

my taebo workouts on mon and thursday are either basic or advanced,

depending on which tape is at the top of my pile.

so now i have to get my 3 year old to turn off 'batman' so that i can

workout... wish me luck ;)

Great Brag , keep up the good work!

Brag Day - TaeBo & Resistance Training Going Strong

Hi TaeBo Friends,

Another brag day is here and I'm excited about this one.

Actually this week I wasn't super hyped all the time about working

out/healthier life. I continued to eat just as healthy and I continued to do

my workouts, but I'm not thinking about it all day long. I think this is

good actually because it is becoming a part of my life rather than just this

fun thing I do as it was for the past few weeks. I'm still having fun when I

workout and I still feel great, but it is more of a routine now rather than

something that constantly occupies my mind.

I added resistance training this week! :-) I'm using resistance tubes that

came in a resistance training kit I purchased. Has workout cards to tell me

what exercises to do, a guide that shows how to do the exercises, a video

with exercises, and an eating guide. It is a pretty cool kit actually. It

was $30 and I got it from QVC, it is called The Traveling Trainer by

Sena. There is also a website at: http://www.michaelsena.com . You use the

resistance tubes and a door anchor to imitate many exercises that are done on

equipment in gyms. I thought it was also cool becuase I emailed via

his website with a question and he actually responded personally.

So, this morning (Friday morning) I did my first full resistance training

workout. It took me about 30 minutes. On Tuesday I was completely new to it

(trying to figure all the exercises out) so I broke the workout down into two

sessions and today I was ready for the full workout at one time, so I am

calling today's workout my first resistance training workout. My plan is to

continue TaeBo 5-6 times a week and also have resistance training 3-4 days a

week.

I enjoy the resistance training. While I love TaeBo because it is fun to do

and makes me feel good afterwards, the resistance training feels good while

I'm doing it. A completely different satisfaction and I like it too! It

feels good to my muscles! :-) Love it!

Also...neat TV program alert! Discovery Health's Body Challenge 2. They

have six people from Southern California who are competing with each other to

make the most improvements to their health in 16 weeks. The winner gets a

trip to Hawaii. Last night was the first two episodes, it will air every

Thursday (I think there are some replays too during the week). It isn't on

the Discovery channel though, it is on the " Discovery Health Channel. "

Seeing these people work hard motivates me to do the same! :-) Actually, I

think I accomplished more in my first four weeks than they did. haha. I

should have been in this challenge! haha.

Best wishes,

Carolyn,

I did the Ultimate Abs workout on Thursday (didn't have time to fit a

workout in, so I did Ultimate Abs on Thurs and did floorwork when I

taught my class to get the 'glutes' part in...LOL) Anyway, with the

Ultimate Abs, you go down to the floor for the last 15 minutes or

so...the rest is using your abs during cardio stuff....it's a pretty

good cardio workout...anyway, I haven't done the Ultimate Butt

workout yet, but I was thinking I'm sure you could find a part of the

Butt tape...like 15 or 20 minutes and do the two together for a

really good Abs and Glutes workout. Just a thought if you ever want

to try to combine them on Wed for the challenge for a change :)

You'll know better how you could do it (or if it would even work)

once you've done the workouts a couple of times :)
