Guest guest
>it takes a thousand ug to make a mg, a mcg and ug are the same amount, ie like 5000mcg equals 5mgs.< Thanks, ! I'm taking 50 mg of iodine now, and have had no problems so far. I will up my dosage until I'm at 100 mg and stay there for a while to see how I feel. >Be aware you cannot take vitamin C, with iodine, seperate them by at least two hours, C is the antidote for iodine overdose, If such a thing exists.< Yikes! I didn't know that. Today, I actually took my C and iodine about 15 minutes apart. >I make and sell iodine, some of my customers have come completely off insulin by taking higher doses of lugols iodine, by higher doses, I am talking over a hundred mgs, most take two hundred mgs daily.< It would be fantastic to be able to lower (or even eliminate) insulin as it's a fat-storage hormone! My body already is quite skillful at storing fat; it doesn't need any help. >Also most likely as you increase your iodine intake, you will no longer require thyroid med support< I'm looking forward to eliminating that too. >you should visit, breastcancerchoices, org, and see their iodine page for sides that should be taken with iodine.< I will. >Most likely you are hypothyroid, lack of production, because you are deficient in iodine.< That makes sense... >Get some prill beads for you drinking water, a great way to get magnesium, and you should take magnesium with iodine as well.< At the same time? I have magnesium oil and could mix it into the same drink with my iodine, maybe adding some DMSO too. >Your 1500ug /day, is 1.5mgs< Great !! But since it sounds like so little, I'm going to aim for 100 mg of the iodine... Thanks, Dianne
Guest guest
Dianne, look and be certain the mag oil you have can be used orally, most oils are used externally. Some mag oils are made with magnesium oxide, which is a laxative. Mag oils by the way are only water and magnesium, it only feels like oil because of the magnesium contained in. I am very pleased to hear, you have kept the weight off, good for you. The " great weight loss secret of 2012 " is overly optomistic, I do believe. However you can be certain iodine will help you keep the weight down. Iodine first job will be to alkaline your body, especially your thyroid gland, so it can affectively use the iodine, so don't expect a lot of results to show up quickly as you increase your dosage. You can expect your TSH levels to go up, but of no consequence, it soon levels out with a few weeks. Most MD's sometimes get excited about it, but it is sub clinical, and does not cause any problems or negative affects. Iodine in itself is very alkaline, but there are some things you may do to help it, ie like I drink mostly lemonade, sweetened with stevia, which is the only alkaline sweetner. Iodine will " git er done " , but it takes it's sweet time at doing so. DMSO will assist the iodine in permeating your body, and as I have said, will eliminate any detox problems. I am very proud of you, for taking responsibility for your health, there is many things we can do, so we make less MD visits, and this is a big step for you. You can take selenium with your iodine, but the other sides, should be taken a couple hours separated from the iodine. david lubbock tx.
