Dianne, it takes a thousand ug to make a mg, a mcg and ug are the same

amount, ie like 5000mg equals 5mgs. Be aware you cannot take vitamin C,

with iodine, seperate them by at least two hours, C is the antidote for

iodine overdose, If such a thing exist. I have taken up to six hundred mgs

daily, the more I take the better I feel.

But I normally take 220mgs daily.

I make and sell iodine, some of my customers have come completely off

insulin by taking higher doses of lugols iodine, by higher doses, I am

talking over a hundred mgs, most take two hundred mgs daily. Also most

likely as you increase your iodine intake, you will no longer require

thyroid med support, There is not problem taking two three hundred mgs

daily, you should visit, breastcancerchoices, org, and see their iodine page

for sides that should be taken with iodine. Most likely you are

hypothyroid, lack of production, because you are deficient in iodine. Get

some prill beads for you drinking water, a great way to get magnesium, and

you should take magnesium with iodine as well.

Also if you take iodine with a tablespoon of dmso, you will have no problem

detoxing, it will certainly relieve any depression. I mix my iodine and

dmso and add a couple ounces of dr pepper, taste pretty good.

Your 1500ug /day, is 1.5mgs

1500 ug might be 1.5 milligram. At least in electronics it would be,

whether measuring amps or volts or farads or watts.

Dianne,

I had that problem with Armour too. I am now using compounded

dessicated thryoid. I had to increase it very slowly 5 mg at a time

because I am so sensitive to it. My doc. had a hard time believing I

was so sensitive, but he could even tell from the blood tests that I

reacted to very small increases. So you might try starting at a low

enough dose where you don't react and then gradually increase a

little bit at a time until you start having problems and then drop

back down to the previous dose. Only problem is that it takes 4

weeks between dose adjustments for the body to settle--so plan on the

process taking some time. At one point in my thyroid history, a ND

added in Levoxyl to my Armour. I was off the wall for over a year

with extreme anxiety and panic attacks. And it took 6 months after

that to get things settled back down after I stopped the Levoxyl!

Gerry, a bit off topic, but it does help me understand iodine, I make a ten

gallon electrolyte solution, similiar to battery acid, in one side I drop a

six inch by half inch copper rod attached to the positive side of ll0 house

current, anode,on the other side, I drop another rod of nickel, attached to

the negative or common side of 110. cathode

I set there depth in the solution of the rods to what reads thirty amps of

resistance with a meter.

Mix my iodine and place that in a glass lab container and place submerged

between the anode and cathode.

The apply current for fifteen minutes. The solution almost boils during

that period.

Cayce says this is the iodine that the body requires, I know when I first

began taking this iodine in 120mg doses, I could feel it's affect all over

my body within a few seconds, as time wore on, I don't feel it so much.

Gerry, just what am I doing, to the iodine, any clues? david lubbock tx.
