Guest guest
Hello All Good news. After being on the waiting list for 8 months we finally got the call for an available unit at the senior apartments by me. It was a mountain of paperwork and documentation but Mom is moved and settled in now. Mom was a mess the whole month of December. It is true that a move is very hard on our LO's with this disease. Exhausting. I am just recovering from the whole thing myself. This move did not come a minute to soon as Mom is becoming more and more dependent and when she was 16 miles away it was very hard to keep a close eye on her. Her new place is just regular senior low income apts. only 5 minutes from me!! She can still manage alone but needs alot of help remembering things. I can actually go to her house every day and make sure she took her meds, check her groceries etc instead of taking her word for it which is becoming increasingly inaccurate. I can't even tell you the relief I feel having her closer to me. Visit to Dr yesterday for check up. Running some blood?urine tests as I have been concerned about the amount of sweets she eats and her lack of fluid intake. He wants to put her on zoloft 50 mg. Mom is very depressed as well as confused. Haven't seen to much mention in the group on zoloft. If anyone has experienced this drug with their LO I would appreciate the input. Mom also takes Aricept 10mg. It is always a worry with these meds. Thanks & mom ginny 83 yrs
