Guest guest
So very glad to hear that you're feeling better Jackie! I too am larger on one side than the other since my explant. I have solved that by getting a wonderful bra from Secret that has little silicone inserts that slide into it. I put 2 of them on one side, and don't wear one on the other. It is amazing how even it makes me look in my clothes! In fact, anyone who didn't know that I had my implants removed, would not be able to guess I had anything done at all. Secret makes some great looking, good fitting bras, you might check them out if you haven't already. Best of luck to you, Tammy (a) --- In , " crazycanoe1 " <crazycanoe1@y...> wrote: > Just wanted to share that it has been 60 days since my explant > surgery. Guest guest
Thanks for the info on the bra. I'll check it out. One thing I haven't done since explant surgery is to buy new bras. I've been clinging to the tight sports bras, which are so supportive. As I've been healing, I've begun to go without a bra some, and that's limited to home. So, it's probably time for me to take a trip to the lingerie store and reward myself for recovery from those horrible implants. I'll try the one you mentioned. Maybe I'll get two since I've been so good to myself. It's just so wonderful to have my health back...I love being me, without the implants!! Guest guest
I believe that my implants were killing me slowly also. I even told my family and doctors that I was dying and they wouldnt knoe untill I was dead. My implants have been out since March. I have a spot on my back that feels like bees stinging me sometimes and sometimes like I have a large open wound right there. But, I'll take that over being bedridden and all over body pain any day. Good luck! ToniToni Frampton toni_frampton@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Toni, One website that has a lot of information (in addition to our archives) is www.curezone.com Virtually all the implant women I've met have had a systemic fungal/yeast problem. Dr. Kolb treats all implant patients for systemic fungal/yeast problems both before and after surgery. It seems that the problem either comes with the implant, because of medications taken because of illness following implants, or because the immune system is supressed from fighting against the implants. I would recommend reading " The Yeast Connection " , or a similar book to get an understanding about how devastating this can be. It takes a lot of discipline because of the diet (no sugar, processed foods or refined grains), but it's well worth the effort! Guest guest
- Toni I have had the symptoms you describe. I always thought they were from my fibromyalgia. I know they can be. MIne is much better! The sleep thing is definitely a fibro symptom. The brains nerves just keep firing--kind of like the nerves and muscles of the rest of the body. Net effect is that it keeps you out of deep 4 sleep and that produces all kinds of symptoms. I have dealt with that for many many years. I still have problems from time to time--but I am also perimenopausal and sleep problems are common then. Good to hear that you are doing so much better!! Who cares what the doctors think as long as we can manage to get what we need somehow? I like your attitude! Guest guest
Dear lea That is very sad. Losing our friends, especially those who understand us the best, is very hard. Guest guest
Thank you Sweetheart: Jewell was one of the warmest and loving ladies. She always wanted to know how I was, yet she was suffering so much. She had been a health care worker and her experience showed. We had the same plastic surgeon and I do not trust this man because he lied to so many women. He had to leave Edmonton because someone was suing him, it was a scandal and we will never really know the true reason for his leaving. His name is Voloshin. Thank you for your sweet comments and for all the great support that you give to us...love always....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````` Re: Re: 60 days post-op explant >> >> >> Lea, >> >> I am concerned about your being sad. this site and all of the > women here have helped to save my life. Guest guest
Dearest Joanne: It seems strange to be writing to you on this forum. This is the place to be because these ladies know their stuff. I did ask Dr. D about Cardiac Reactive Protein. He said most everyone with an autoimmune disease will be positive. I guess you have to be aware, but not to be too worried. He said that doctors talk about me at conferences, and we thought that was funny. I do educate doctors on many things, especially breast implants. They have learned to show respect for me. I'm not shy, and I guess I have had enough abuse to last a lifetime. If a doctor refuses to talk to me, I threaten to tie them up. When I had my last pulmonary embolisms, my doctor came in, but he refused to take the article on Silicone Fluid Induced Pulmonary embolisms. My next step was to call the nurse at the desk. I asked if she had some rope to tie Dr. S up with, and she asked do you want duct tape too. I said no, I want him to talk. My doctor was at the desk and heard everything that I had said. The next thing I knew he was standing by my bed, and he said okay lets talk. He pulled up a chair, and we had a very productive discussion. He will never let me live this down. The nurses took the article and copied it many times...they said that he would have to read it eventually. I know you well enough by now and I know that you would never take abuse from anyone. Have you mentioned your high blood pressure yet? Please try to avoid all the stress. Love you sweetie....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``` Re: Re: 60 days post-op explant Kathy, Thank you. everyone here is so great. Guest guest
Joanne, I have decided my favorite game is "stump the doc". I get a symptom and "dare" the doctor to come up with a "good" diagnosis. My internist I think is both afraid and excited when he knows I'm coming in. He gets to break out old books and talk to his old professors and colleagues. looking at the brighter side of life Toni__________________________________________________
