Guest guest
Congratulations Trish! :-) That is great. The scale does not always tell us what we want, but when it does, it is a great feeling and I think it really gives us increased motivation and encouragement when we see the number go down. You're doing fabulous and I know you'll continue to achieve great results. Thanks for the inspiration! Guest guest
....I'm so excited just had to share. Since November I've been on a plateau weight wise. I quit a diet I was on (Dr. Bernstein in Canada) because I was paying them $125 a week to lose nothing for two weeks and they couldn't really tell me why I had plateaued, not that it had anything to do with the 500 calorie days I had since Sep 17/02 (and it's Dr. supervised for quick weight loss, that is the program and I needed the kick start, so please don't lecture me, to each their own I say). So I quit Dec 6th...figured I had to fix my metabolism and decided the magic number was 1,200 calories a day and working out, which I had been doing since November 6th. But the scale never moved, oh it would go up a pound, down a pound, up 8 pounds (can we say, eek!) during Christmas etc. But it would always go back to about 173-174 exactly where it was when I quit. Frustration set in, however I knew that I was working the program. I was faithfull to the 1,200, faithful to 5-6 hours of exercise (Tae Bo) a week and that my weight would at some point start heading back down again. Meanwhile my body was changing. I wish I had taken pictures of my thighs in December. You should see my legs now, wowsers - they aren't looking to shabby, even if the circumfrence of them is still a bit large (23.75 " on a 5'0 " frame). So things were changing. I lost some really good inches in my waist. The top of my body has thinned out dramatically, I've got a shape! But the scale never changed. So the 3rd of this month was the last time I weighed myself. I put the scale away with a friend because we were getting frustrated. I got the scale out this morning. Even with eating late yesterday (930pm) and getting up at 520am, the scale read 169.4 - I moved the scale around on the floor in the bedroom and livingroom hoping that it wasn't the floor doing it...nope same reading 169.4! Now my official weigh day is tomorrow - I wish it was today, lmao. Not only did I break my plateau, but I broke into a new number range. This is due I think to obviously my food, but my working out. Food alone doesn't do it for me, never has. I could stop eating and not lose weight. Working out has always been the key for me...and you know what? Tae Bo freakin' rocks. Sorry I'm so long winded...I'm SO FREAKING excited. I need it to be tomorrow so I can actually post my weight on my website to make it real, lmao. 150's here I come!!! Guest guest
> This is due I think to obviously my food, but my working out. Food alone doesn't do it for me, never has. I could stop eating and not lose weight. Working out has always been the key for me...and you know what? Tae Bo freakin' rocks. > Trish, Congratulations on breaking your plateau That is wonderful news. I definitely think it is a combinatin of working out and healhty eating that is the key to losing weight and getting healhty There are so many factors that are involved in losing weight and somteimes it's hard to figure out exactly what works...we are all different and have different histories with regards to what we have done in the past, and all of that affects how we lose weight in the present. What I'm trying to say is that depending on what we have done or tried in the past, and how our metabolism's have been affected by all of that...it might take awhile to see changes..or we might hit a platuea and stay there for awhile until our body realizes we are serious about these healthy changes. For me, I had a history of eating disorders and constantly stressing my body by either not eating and working out all the time or eating a ton and not exercising and gaining weight. So, my metabolism was completely messed up and it took a good year of doing Tae Bo consistently and eating healthy to really see all the effects of my hard labor. So, for you......it might be the same type of thing (especially if you have been eating 500 calories a day for any given amount of time). That will really slow your metabolism down. So, now that you are eating more sensibly and working out more consistently, you might just have to give it time before you start to see those results. But, hang in there because like you are seeing now...you WILL see them. And, I also wanted to advise you that 1200 calories might even be too low on the days you are doing an hour and a half of Tae Bo. Please listen to your body and if you are feeling hungry...up you calories on those days. If you are doing a lot of physical activity like that much Tae Bo, you will definitely need more than 1200 calories! When I was doing Tae Bo, I consistently ate above my point range on days when I was working out hard and still continued to lose. Good luck! Keep up the good work Seems like you might have finally found the right combination for you who hopes this didn't sound like a lecture

The live 4 pack--basic--I believe it's the 3rd row 's right next to the right riser wearing a black top and pants with a pony tail. There's a close up of her in the warm up. Advanced--very back, near back riser. Wearing yellow Tae-Bo shirt and black pants (she's the one is trying to get to count). GR Basic w/floorwork-- 4th row all the way left, wearing black jog bra w/stripes across front, black workout pants, black hat on backwards. If you have Excel, there's a file in the files section called " Members in Workouts " and it lists those of us who are in the tapes. I sent Kerri the Ultimate list, so once she gets that together, she'll add those to it as well. Sandie, Tae and Bo )!!!!!!!!!
