Guest guest
Mindy, it's amazing what our children can handle. I have had 3 kids while implanted, my youngest now being 3.5. There have been many days when I have been simply unable to take care of them and yet everyone is ok. My kids have grown up incredibly independant and strong despite my lack of good health. Your on the right track, you will be explanted soon. So even though you are worried about the meantime, don't worry too much, your family will survive this and you will feel better soon. I know how hard it is, but believe me, the kids will be ok somehow. > I haven't written you all in awhile since I have been going from > doctor to doctor (GP, neurologist, chiropractor, ears, nose and > throat, eye doctor, etc.) and no one can figure out what is going on > with my body. Guest guest
Mindy, I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems! You haven't had your implants very long . . . my guess is that your body is either sensitive to the materials, or the implants are contaminated. Symptoms can be very confusing, because our whole body is affected. Most of us have made the rounds of the doctors with virtually the same results. The only way you'll know for sure if it's your implants is to get them removed properly - en bloc, with drains. Have you talked to your implanting surgeon? . . . They are usually the worst choice for explanting, but you may have a good doctor who will help you. If he/she tells you that you need to replace them, that you will be deformed, or that implants can't cause these problems. . . Run! Things can get much worse. So, don't delay too long. In the meantime, take extradordinarily good care of yourself. . . Avoid antibiotics and steriods if possible. Eat raw, crushed garlic, take Oil of Oregano or Grapefruit sed extract. Garlic is especially effective! Guest guest
Thanks! I spoke with my surgeon and he is confident that he can remove the implants effectively. He said since I haven't had the implants long, the scar tissue is a thin layer like paper tissue. If he would perform en bloc, it would be harmful to me. He is a very excellent surgeon and just wants me to get better. Also, he will not charge me for the explant and will need just a 24-hour notice. Thanks for the info! Guest guest
Thank you so much. I can't wait to feel like myself again, where I can run and play with my kids. It is what I miss the most! Guest guest
You are very lucky that your symptoms came on quickly and you are taking care of it quickly. I have never known what it is to be healthy around my kids, and like you, I can't wait to be able to just run in the park without a care. I hope that after my surgery I can play with them the way I imagined I would when I was younger, before I became a mother. You have had your implants such a short time that I am sure you will have a significant immediate sense of relief upon explant. Let us know how it goes and please tell us about it when you get to play hard again! Hugs, --- In , " sachsrealty " <sachsrealty@y...> wrote: > Thank you so much. Guest guest
Mindy, If your problems are due to bacteria, the capsule will be loaded with it - bacteria can escape into your chest cavity. . . Removing the implant and leaving the capsule behind can prolong your health problems. This is way most surgeons prefer to do it. That's why we have a list of surgeons we recommend and why women travel across the country to be explanted. It takes much less time and skill the way your doctor plans to do it! ($$$$$) . . . It is not dangerous to remove your implants en bloc, if done properly! Your doctor probably plans to do it in his surgical suite, under a local. They make an incision, slit the capsule, pop it out and (probably) into the trash! . . .. En bloc should be done in a surgical center or hospital. It will take considerably more time . . . Some women's surgery lasted as long as seven hours. Plan on at least two hours. You can have your implant analyzed by Dr. Blais in Canada to see if the implant was defective and what organisms are in it. If he won't agree to remove the capsule, I would find another doctor. He obviously doesn't understand the problem! Hugs, Rogene --- sachsrealty <sachsrealty@...> wrote: > Thanks! Guest guest
Mindy, your situation is identical to mine, I got implants & 2wks later started having MS like symptoms, fibro like symptoms, etc I ran from dr to dr & finally I had enough & wanted them out, I had them out by my original PS who did not do an en bloc, its been a long road but I'm almost back to my old self in health. I had the implants in for 6 months. You will be fine after but get them out ASAP. Guest guest
The surgeon is going to preform the explant at the surgical center. He stated that he will take out any scar tissue that has formed along with the implants. I will make very sure that everything is removed properly. Thanks for the info and I will again speak to him > > > > I haven't written you all in awhile since I have > > > > been going from > > > > doctor to doctor (GP, neurologist, chiropractor, > > > > ears, nose and > > > > throat, eye doctor, etc.) and no one can figure > > out > > > > what is going on > > > > with my body. Guest guest
Can someone tell me about the raw garlic? How much should you eat? How often? What exactly is it supposed to do? I will do anything to get rid of these symptoms. I also have hissing in my ear (left ear, though) and a rash on my chest that is driving me nuts. I was explanted about 10 days ago and I still need help!! shana > > I haven't written you all in awhile since I have > > been going from > > doctor to doctor (GP, neurologist, chiropractor, > > ears, nose and > > throat, eye doctor, etc.) and no one can figure out > > what is going on > > with my body. Guest guest
To eat garlic, you crush the cloves, then eat. How you get it down is up to you . . .be creative. I spread it on wholegrain bread with mayo and a little meat, or put it on a salad or a pizza. I've scrapped it off the garlic press with an empty gel capsule. Patty recommends eating as many as 12 cloves a day. I've only been able to get five cloves down. But every bit helps! Recently I posted an article that said the the effective chemical in garlic is released 10 or 15 (I can remember) minutes after crushing. They claim that, even if it's cooked after that, the chemical remains. I'm somewhat skeptical about that. If that's true, the garlic supplements should be as effective as fresh garlic. I haven't found that to be true. However, if one can't get fresh garlic down, supplement is definitely better than none . . There's one good brand " Kolic " (or something like that). A couple tips . . . feed everyone around you something with garlic in it, so they don't notice how strong you smell . . . and if you'll eat a fresh apple afterwards, it will help clear the taste from your mouth. Garlic is an miracle natural food . . . do a websearch for information. It can do the job of potent drugs with no built-up resistance or side effects. Guest guest
I went to the health food store and purchased Ring Stop from Natural Care. It seems to help the hissing in my right ear. I haven't yet been explanted and hope the hissing will stop after the surgery. Did you have the hissing before the explant? What does the rash look like on your chest? My rash looks like sunburn and it flares up about an hour after I get up. The dermatologist explained that it is capillaries that flare up when I get stressed. I think it is an avenue for my body to filter the toxins. I only have one kidney and can't image how hard it has been working these past few months. I was so desperate last Sunday that I stood on my head for thirty seconds to see if the Vertigo would go away. Interesting enough, the Vertigo remained; however, I had broken blood vessels on the skin surrounding both my eyes. Guest guest
Hi Shana, I have a file posted in our files section on raw garlic. 12 cloves is considered a therapeutic amount. It is alot, but I find it easy to eat, once you get a formula down for it. I find it goes down very easy with chicken...that's the way the Greeks eat it and the flavors marry perfectly. I just go for it, bite with bite. I'll post that article for you. Actually, there are two. I'll post them both: Eating raw garlic can be a challenge. It does burn, but there are ways to lessen the burn, and even enjoy eating this amazing herb! The Greek way: Eating it bite by bite with chicken. This is my favorite way. It's a great combination. With hummus and pita bread. Again, another great combination, and the hummus helps to tone down the burn. Crushed into a cup of hot, steaming chicken broth. Mmmm, especially good on a cold day. Crushed into olive oil with also has been sprinkled with italian seasoning, then dip bread into the olive oil. Just like they serve at Italian restaurants for an appetizer. We always ask for a cup of crushed garlic to add to our plate of oil, and we make sure we eat that garlic. (you might have to chase it around a little to get it on your bread!) With cheese, or a cream cheese based dip, and whole wheat crackers. (Half a clove on top of the cheese or dip, on top of the cracker). My husband says this brings on more burn for him, though (especially feta cheese). It helps to swig some juice or lemonade to tone it down. Crushed in Caesar's salad. My favorite recipe for this is in the database under recipes, and our whole family loves this salad. We eat it often. The dressing is a breeze to make, taking only about 5 minutes. If I want to get down a bunch of garlic in a hurry, I chop it into bite sized pieces and then quickly chomp on each piece once or twice with my molars to quickly crush it first, and then I wash it down right away with some juice or tea. I can get down a full day's quota of raw garlic quickly this way. It's not like I savor the flavor though! This is just totally to get it in me! Pasta and garlic are also a great combination. Anita writes: " crush the garlic with a garlic crusher and scoop it up into a capsule then swallow them with lots of water. Also, it helps if you do this after eating to prevent it from burning your stomach. " The therapeutic dose is up to 12 cloves of raw garlic a day. You can do research on each of these herbs and food products to find out more about their properties, but each have been found to have antimicrobial and/or antiviral properties. Stoff, MD claims that the first step in healing is to reduce your viral load, and put the viruses in remission. Making sure some or any of these are in your diet each day will bring you closer to that goal. Raw Garlic Olive Leaf Extract Echinacea Goldenseal Citrus Seed Extract (including grapefruit seed extract) Aloe Vera Tea Tree Oil Pau d'arco Coconut Oil Quercetin Astragalus Licorice Noni Extract of Shiitake mushrooms, called LEM (Lentinus edodes mycelium), other medicinal mushrooms are maitake and reishi) Because I believe so much in the power of raw garlic, here is the information I have gathered on it so far: Garlic is an awesome herb. I think we should be using it to help us fight whatever chronic infections we may have. Antibiotics cannot kill viruses. But there are other products that have anti- viral activity, and I am exploring these. Garlic is one of them. Here is what I found out about garlic. You can also do an Internet search if you want to read more about garlic on your own. Some of this info will be taken directly out of books I have in my library. I'll list these at the end. Garlic is probably the most well-recognized medicinal herb. It is used by traditional medicines all over the world. The chemistry and pharmacology of garlic is well studied--over 1000 research papers have been published in the past 25 years. Garlic preparations are known for their antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral activity. During World War II, Russia ran out of antibiotics to treat its many casualties so they reverted to the original antibiotic: raw garlic was rubbed on the wound. It became known as " Russian Penicillin " . Dr. Weil says, " The best home remedy I have found for colds is to eat several cloves of raw garlic at the first onset of symptoms. Eating raw garlic does not appeal to everyone, but garlic loses its antibiotic properties when you cook or dry it, and commercial garlic capsules do not preserve the full activity of the fresh bulb. You can make raw garlic more palatable by chopping it fine, mixing it with food, and eating it with a meal. Or, cut a clove into chunks and swallow them whole like pills. If it gives you flatulence, eat less. If you eat garlic regularly, and have a good attitude about it you will not smell of it. (Patty says, " Wow! a good attitude can keep you from smelling? It never worked for me! " ) Chewing some fresh parsley after eating garlic also minimizes the odor. According to studies reported in the Journal of the National Medical Association, and Medical Hypotheses, garlic has been shown to be a powerful anti-biotic against gram-negative, gram-positive and acid-fast bacteria. It has even been shown to be effective against strains of bacteria that usually resist treatment, including staphylococcus, mycobacteria, salmonella, and the species of Proteus bacteria. Studies in the test tube show that garlic is effective against both the influenza B virus and the herpes virus hominis type I virus. Researchers have suggested that in the test tube, the garlic was shown to be directly effective against the viruses; in some experiments conducted in the body, part of the effectiveness of the garlic may be due to its effects on the immune system, which then mounts an attack on the viruses, too. Numerous articles from American and foreign literature describe the inhibitory action of garlic (Allium sativum) on candida organisms. One tells of the effect of garlic juice on staphylococcus aureus and E. coli, as well as candida albicans. Candida albicans was found to be the most sensitive of these three organisms to garlic juice. Still another article noted that all but 2 out of 26 strains of candida albicans were sensitive to aqueous dilutions of garlic extract. Here is Garlic's reputation for rejuvenating brain and immunity, according to Investigative Nutritionist Carper: Remarkable new research in Japan reveals that eating garlic can restore brain functioning and immune functioning in aged rats, two faculties that typically deteriorate with age. Garlic may even help prevent and reverse Alzheimer's like senility, according to Dr. Hiroshi Saito, professor of pharmaceutical studies at the University of Tokyo, who has screened dozens of natural and synthetic products in a search for new drug treatments for senile dementia. He documented that garlic extract suppresses destruction of rat brain cells (neurons) and, more startling, even stimulates the branching of new brain neurons. Thus, garlic helps ensure brain cell survival and " leads to neural regeneration, " says Dr. Saito, meaning old brains can grow younger. Dr. Gilles Fillion of the Pasteur Institute in France says this about Garlic's Prozac like effects: " I suspect garlic is anti-stress, anti-anxiety and acts as a sort of anti- depressant like Prozac, although with a much milder effect. Eating garlic may just make you feel better. " Dr. Fillion has found that garlic affects the release of serotonin--a ubiquitous brain chemical involved in regulating a wide spectrum of moods and behavior, including anxiety, depression, pain, aggression, stress, sleep and memory. Higher levels of serotonin and serotonin activity in the brain tend to act as a tranquilizer to calm you down, induce sleep and relieve depression. Dr. Fillion believes garlic helps normalize the serotonin system. A Japanese study of mice once found that garlic extract was 60 percent effective as Valium in relieving stress. My Holistic Herbal book says this: Garlic is among the few herbs that have a universal usage an recognition. Its daily usage aids and supports the body in ways that no other herb does. It is one of the most effective anti-microbial plants available, acting on bacteria, viruses, and alimentary parasites. The volatile oil is an effective agent and as it is largely excreted via the lungs, it is used in respiratory infections such as chronic bronchitis, catarrh, recurrent colds and influenza. It may be helpful in the treatment of whooping cough and as part of a broader approach to bronchitic asthma. It may be used as a preventative for most infectious conditions, digestive as well as respiratory. For the digestive tract, garlic will support the development of natural bacteria flora whilst killing pathogenic organisms. In addition, it will reduce blood pressure when taken over a period of time as well as reducing blood cholesterol levels. It has been used externally for the treatment of ringworm and threadworm. A clove should be eaten three times a day. If the smell becomes a problem, use garlic oil capsules. Take three once a day as a prophylactic or three times a day when an infection occurs. Another book I have says to derive garlic's legendary antiseptic powers, experts recommend a minimum of twelve whole cloves a day--preferably taken raw. That's alot of garlic! Here is a Ukranian remedy for old age debility: Grind one pound of garlic, add it to a jar with the juice of twenty four lemons and leave covered for twenty four days. After which take one teaspoon at night. When I had a kidney infection recently, I got up in the middle of the night, and ate 5 whole large cloves of garlic. The next night when I got into bed with my husband told me I smelled like garlic. <sigh>. Okay, I'm ready to eat some garlic anyway. Guest guest
Mindy, I also had that horrible dizziness and vertigo when I first got sick. I called it brain fog though. I did things like you...I hung my head over the edge of my bed to get blood flow there, I did headstands, we bought an inversion board, I did yoga postures that would increase flow to the brain...after one year, I even got desperate and paid for 22 hyperbaric oxygen treatments (one of the most expensive therapies out there) at a time when we were starting our new business and had NO INCOME, because I was afraid my brain cells were starving and I would not recover them and get alzheimers or something horrible! I was truly desperate for relief from this blasted symptom. Nothing worked. I don't know why some women get this horrible vertigo and others do not, but I can only surmise that it has something to do with hormones, because it took about 3-4 years for thay symptom to go away...it was my worst symptom, and the last to leave for good, but it comes back to me very rarely now ONLY when I am about to get my period. It is rare, and I don't know why it comes, but since it is always around my period, I have to believe it has something to do with either the hormones floating around in my system, or a sluggish liver. I do coffee enemas to help that. Dr. Kolb has stated that implants are estrogenic in nature, meaning that they cause elevated estrogen levels. There is some information in some of the books written on implants (Torn Illusions comes to mind) that confirm or support this suggestion. This may also explain why some women end up with larger breasts after having had implants, if weight gain does not explain it. Hormones are hard to balance, and can really get whacked out. We know also that hormones are implicated in autoimmune diseases as well. Guest guest
Please tell me the Vertigo lessens when you explanted. My Vertigo is constant. I get an hour in the morning of a normal life and then have it all day! Before I was implanted, I worked in a high-rise building and knew every time when my menstrual cycle was about to begin due to feeling dizzy when I got off the elevator. I just pray that it gets better after the explant.
