Guest guest
I hope this isn't too hot a topic. I notice " Autism Speaks " , a group I'm not fond of, is sponsoring a " wear blue " Autism Awareness Day on Friday. I'm of mixed minds on whether I should mention this or wear blue. On one hand, Autism awareness by the NT world is a good thing ... we need to be heard, and accepted as we are. However, since Autism Speaks views the spectrum as a disease that needs to be prevented and cured, I don't want to look as if I support that view. Opinions? --Liz going back to getting the water out of my basement -- only a little flooding, but it still needs to be shop-vaced away. ------------ The Aspie Parent blog: http://aspergersparent.wordpress.com/ SF, science, and Gifted Ed butons, mugs, and other items at http://www.zazzle.com/CartesianBear* Higher Quality Adult & kid shirts at http://www.printfection.com/cartesianbear
