Hi Kathy,

I did a female hormone panel with Dr. Leu. My levels were dangerously high and it took months to get it down. The problem is that I felt really good when my progesterone was high, so the way I feel is no indication of hormone balance. I get migraines when progesterone is low.

How did you know that your progesterone was overtreated? I am on

some right now and want to make sure I don't get too much also.

How did you get it down? I did saliva testing and it showed my

progesterone was below normal. My md has me supplementing with

progesterone cream. I don't want to get too much however. Perhaps

I should go back and get retested?

Hi Kathy,

I went off progesterone for a while but it didn’t bring the numbers down. I then took calcium d-glucarate for several months to get the level to come down. My liver is sluggish, which is why it took so long for my progesterone to level out. I’d definitely recommend getting retested if you have been on it for a while.

Thanks kenda. I probably will. I was supposed to go back in march

and get retested but just haven't done it. On the other hand, my

hot flashes are under control. But it doesn't appear to have done

mucn for my crying at the drop of a hat. It is embarrassing!

Perimenopausal stinks!

It sounds like your estrogen could be out of whack too. When my estrogen is too high, I have hot flashes and night sweats. When estrogen is in balance, I don’t.

Yes, perimenopause does stink!!

Kenda

Thanks kenda. I probably will. I was supposed to go back in march

and get retested but just haven't done it. On the other hand, my

hot flashes are under control. But it doesn't appear to have done

mucn for my crying at the drop of a hat. It is embarrassing!

Perimenopausal stinks!
