Guest guest
oh yah baby! one of my few vices i have been addicted to coca-cola for many years ;/ back when i was younger and did not have any weight concerns, i would drink a 2 litre bottle (the big plastic bottle) all by myself and go through quite a few a week. right now i have my coke consumption down to 2-3 cans a day. i dont drink coffee or tea so for years i drank coke for breakfast. thank goodness that i dont do that anymore! anyway, im trying to get it down further to one can a day... some days i succeed, some days i dont. you know all of that water that im not drinking? that is because im drinking coke instead if i have a good water day, then i get by just fine with one can of coke a day and it is a treat. so you see, my water challenge is not only to drink more water, but to drink less pop as well. it is a double-whammy. also i dont like 'diet coke'... gag! and im sure that drinking coke is thwarting my weight-loss efforts. but i am working on it. the kids are trying to help me out by taking my coke away from me and drinking it themselves but i dont really like that idea either...lol anyway, it is an addiction.. i need to wean myself off and it is a long slow process. there is no way that i can just not buy it, but if i can just limit myself to one can a day then i think it will be ok for a while until i can cut it out totally. is there a coca-cola drinkers anonymous?? *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada RE: > You obviously love coke......do you buy cans or 20 oz bottles? Guest guest
I hear you Carolyn!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love cherry Pepsi. I used to drink it with my breakfast too. I am over that now because it just plain does not taste good with oatmeal LOL!!!! Now, I have been able to reduce/control my consumption of Pepsi to less than one can a day--sometimes none at all. I started mixing my Pepsi with LaCroix (sparkling water). It taste so good and light that sometimes I forgo the Pepsi altogether and just go for the LaCroix. This has really helped me a lot and I am still satisfied. Have you ever tried LaCroix? Guest guest
Oh boy can I relate to this! I have gone two days without having my daily Coke and let me tell you its been tough. I've been trying to cut down over the past few years, finally I got to the point that I was buying two 2 Litre bottles each week and once they were gone that was it until the next trip for groceries, unless I was out at a restaurant. I probably would still be drinking it right now if I had looked in the cold cellar before I went shopping this week. I had stocked up on 2 Litre bottles when it was all on sale before Christmas and I honestly thought I had at least one bottle left in the cold cellar so I didn't buy any and then nearly cried when I went down to get my daily glass. I talked my self out of rushing to the variety store in town and getting a bottle and so far have been able to not stop on my way home from work. I'm just taking it one day at a time!
