Guest guest
I do not think that it is a direct symptom of Chiari but rather a indirect one. As we all know having Chiari can make us depressed, have anxiety, etc. Let me make it clear though, there are really two types of depression. One is situational depression. That is where you are depressed because you have a bad week with pain, in the hospital, surgery did not work, etc. The other type is clinical depression and of course that is where you are depressed for a very long time and basically have a disease. For either one people should see a doctor, in my opinion, especially being clinical depressed. Only a doctor can diagnose whether you have a situational issue or clinical. To answer your question, yes depression goes hand in hand with having Chiari and/or related disorders. This is just my opinion on the matter
