Stills Disease Support GroupHello,

My son has had the Still's disease for about three years now and last November

underwent a very costly hip operation. The invoice is unbelievable: 83,000$ !!

The insurance does not want to pay their 80% share because they claim that it is

a 'pre-existing condition'.

Is there a foundation which might help us financially?

Does anyone have any information about insurance companies, or insurance pools,

etc. which would cover my son in spite of the Still's disease? Are there

States where people with the Still's disease get more help, can buy insurance?

Thanks 1,000,000 in advance for your help.

I have an enlarged heart and recurring episodes of pericarditis and

effusions too. The doctors could not find any common causes and assumed it must

be caused from the Still's. I would also be interested to know if there are

tests to prove it is Still's related.
