Guest guest
Hi all, I have had some problems for the past few years and couldn’t find any of my doctors to give me any suggestions about causes except maybe side effects from bipolar medications. However; today I was visiting with fellow member Elly and suggested something I thought of the last couple of days and she said to look it up. It looks like it COULD BE Hypoglycemia. I know my father has this and I don’t know if it’s hereditary but thought I would share symptoms with you all because it can sometimes be caused by liver, spleen, endocrine or other physical changes or illnesses, as well as dietary habits, some medications and or if one has it, exercise can cause an episode as well. When I first had problems it was extreme sweating. I mean like soaking wet off my face, hair to where people would ask in the store if I was alright even without heat. Then at times I would go for periods of anywhere from hours to days of sleepiness like someone had drugged me excessively to even unconsciousness. This happened again two months ago for just about 12 hours and then again the past two days and when I started wondering if perhaps I was hypoglycemic and I did feel better when eating something sweet. I use a freebie site so am going to get another glucose monitor, I sometimes get them for in-law members with diabetes, and check my sugars when I have the next episode. The Medline site said it doesn’t always show up on labs because one may not be having a drop at the time. I’m sharing in case others may have the same issues? Regards for a good day,
