Guest guest
i, was having migraines almost every day for awhile. yes they told me to limit my caffine. then i, went to a nurologist that specilises in migraines. he fouund my thyroid meds way off as well as my b-12.. perscribed me a med vivactil, for the headaches, changed my antidepessiant. and put me on kolinipin so i, could start to sleep.they also found and reparied a herniated disk in my neck, as well as multible allergies to daiuly stuff around me. sdo it took the combination of actully three drs; the allergist, the nurologist, and the nurosursurgon, to help eas them off. i, still get them once in awhilke there are certian trigger that cant be guarded aginst all the time. like sever bright light light. even bright sunlight, can casuse it if i, am not careful. it always helps when you have a good medical group that works with you. i, have been fortunate. there have been a few buggs in the ointment but we have weeded them out. finding the right causes are the main thing.i, think every dr' i've been to has told me to lay off the caffine and cigeretts. but they have to. its expected of them. but the all insurance companies should cover smoking cessation programs as well as weight control programs. but they aren't required to. now i, understand this latest request for me to quit smoking. bucouse if they have to repaire my lower back. i;'m gonna need ever ounce of air and strenght for all those muscles andligaments to heal. still its goona be hard on me. but then all of this stuff already is. Guest guest
When my partner had cervical fusion I had to smoke outside for 4 months got a lil chilly out there. This is a very unknown thing most doctors will NOT tell you but when you have fusion esp. in the neck the bones won't fuse right if there is smoke in your body. I was glad to freeze my butt of for that .. Guest guest
he did not make me quit smoking for the neck fusion, but he is for the lumbar fusion. Wmerry meet, merrypart, and merry meet agin, blessed be
Guest guest
That is what I ment, It is all in how good he is. He wouldn't even touch her neck if she was a smoker for 2 months she had to be clean and 4 months after. Be careful of your back once cut never the same. Make triple sure he is a excellent surgeon. I have girls in my group that had back fusions that are worse now than before. I got one girl that had such a horrible surgeon ( who was referred by all, nurses, other docs and such) she can never be fixed. She has had it re done 2xs. So just be absolutely sure. Guest guest
he does not really want to do the fusion on the lower back. but i, have developed problems with other bodily functions which may be caused by bone spus pressing on the nerves. that's the only reason. other wise i, would probly deal with it until it put me low. know what i, mean.
