Guest guest
Our hospital is trying to use PQRI and other outpatient measures to judge the quality of the hospital staff that no longer admits frequently. We have a big meeting coming up about this on Friday. Aside from the primary issue that outpatient practice measures have no likely correlation to inpatient skill, I'd like to have some alternative measures to propose as well. Obviously, How's Your Health comes to mind. In a recent blog post Gordon mentions "there are good markers for exemplary practices that may be used to hold them accountable...". Are there other good measures for effective practices besides HYH? -- R. Pierce MD Rockport, Maine www.midcoastmedicine.com
