Guest guest
well I met with the neurosurgeon for the first time about my 5y/o son that was diagnosed a couple months ago with chiari. The Dr. scheduled him for 4 more MRI tests including a " Flex " MRI. The dr. said that the top 3 vertbrae on his neck are very unstable and he needs surgery ASAP to get his neck stabalized, he also has tethered cord but we weere told that we have to wait for more MRI results to find out the extent of the tethered cord. Also he said that he has a large opening between his " dense " bone and his spine that is not suppose to be there and when I asked what it meant he said " well, lets get more results before we go into all that " so I'm not sure what that mean't. Our 7y/o daughter also saw him today and he thinks that she has a build up of scar tissue and that he said that alot of times as the pressure builds up throughout the day in the head it stresses their senses and that is why she is having sensetivity to noise. so she is also being sent for more MRI's Keep us in your prayers, Janna
