Guest guest
If she'll cooperate, then you may have just saved her life. Good for you... Sleep well or wake up to that good thought and feel good about yourself as a decent human being who does something of value for people that is really important. You should be very proud of yourself.... You have earned it. Overweight, HTN and GERD; all she wants is a skin tag removed from her inner thigh. Blood work except for elevated triglycerides, mammogram comes back abnormal after insisting 3 times that she gets it done, radiology recommends US that comes back suspicious for malignancy. Bx comes back positive for Breast CA. She gets PET that lights up with “bone metsâ€, no axillar nodes. Surgeon sends her to oncology for chemo, I tell them biopsy the mets just in case. Patient refuses mets biopsy and I have to bring her in to the office and tell her that she should go with all recommendations if she was going to go thru with treatment. “Mets†biopsy comes back with Multiple Myeloma. Normal globulins, SPEP negative. Patient has 2 primaries and her breast CA is very treatable with lumpectomy and maybe some radiation. Weird things do happen, another reason never to make any assumptions. Needles to say that now the surgeon want me to “clear†her right away.
