Guest guest
No, but I've used CS and that seems to help. Xylitol is also good and i'd thing that DMSO would just help these go deeper. I use Closys II toothpaste that has chlorine dioxide in it ( like MMS) and many people use MMS for mouth issues. Be well, Léna Hello.. Has anyone used DMSO on gums for gum and tooth problems? Guest guest
I have used it mixed with olive oil and oregano oil--very effective. You don't need much oregano oil, or it will burn. Don't remeber the exact mix, but maybe 3 drops of oregano oil to 1 TBSP of olive oil, and a few drops of DMSO. Guest guest
Two good things for tooth and gum problems: painting the area with iodine, I use Lugol's 2% but 5% may work better, and swishing with virgin coconut oil. You can use virgin (cold-pressed) olive oil, or sesame oil instead, I just like the taste of coconut oil the best. " Swishing " is to get about a teaspoon in your mouth and then swish it around your teeth for as long as you can stand it - shoot for 3 min. Spit it out (important) then brush your teeth. It gets out stuff between your tooth and gum and somehow it makes tartar easier to brush off, so does the iodine. Both also kill germs, iodine is stronger at that - stops cavities in their tracks! > > > Hello.. > > Has anyone used DMSO on gums for gum and tooth problems? > > Thanks > DM > > > > > >

Guest guest
I am one that posted gum problems and I am so appreciated to all that answered..What I am trying to do is save my teeth that are in a bridge in portion of my mouth. One dentist said one tooth has fracture inside tooth visible by x-ray only, other dentist when I went for second opinion said he could not see it. Being a nurse,I know something is going on and it is bacterial infection, very slow, as on gum I see a white spot similar to a tiny white dot, like a small pus pocket that comes up and that is bacterial infection. They want to take all that bridge out and put inplants, and that is not an option, one I don't want that in my body, second, can't afford it, we are looking over 10,000 dollars, if you can imagine this. Dentist said infection is very slow, and I could wait maybe 6 months or so, and said if you can do something yourself, as he knows I am a herbalist, then go for it and we will check it in 3 months. So, I am using herbs, and colloidal silver, and a tooth formula I made up,and infection formula I made up, but I have had such great results with DMSO for other problems, wanted to see if this could help me. My thyroid and all was fine last blood report..I Thank you everyone and will continue to watch the posts on this. DM In a message dated 9/18/2011 7:57:42 A.M. Guest guest
MM, not on the dosage I take, but the iodine guru's, docks, abramson, brownstein feel that one hundred to hundred fifty, is safe for the thyroid. MM, I think we need to talk shades of grey, that is perhaps one hundred mgs of iodine is also very antibacterial etc etc etc. And no need for two forty as I take, my body just got hooked on this dose, and it seems to like it muchly. What I don't use goes out in my urine. I think medical professionals are trapped to offering advice for the multitudes, that is if one has thyroid issues with two hundred mgs of iodine, then their advice must include that happening. As they are liable, both legally and ethically for their words. So I take medical advice with that in mind, there is a lot of lee way with their numbers. There are many at cure zone who have taken large doses for years with no ill affects, that of course does not mean your thyroid will continue to function with high doses. I have leukemia, my enemy is lack of a great immune system, so iodine covers, my shortfalls. I will risk my thyroids health for the safety of the remainder of my body. I have unwillingly visited the intensive care unit my last time, as long as I take iodine. And as I recall, I was taking a hundred mgs of iodine, when it killed my tooth infection. My personal opinion is, the less iodine we take the more docters visits we make. david lubbock tx. Guest guest
Something to try in the interim before other decisions are made...perhaps try gargling with H2O2, hydrogen peroxide.  I use it daily.  Please don't swallow since the store bought has a stabilizer inside.  I use it instead of a mouth wash & now do not have any gum or tooth problems.  As long as the liquid comes in contact with the infection the infection is gone immediately. Actually I think my Doc is the one that recommended Brownstein's book to me and put me on a daily dose of Ioderal. So he is familiar with the benefits of iodine. Perhaps he is just concerned about my thyroid as I seem to be extremely sensitive to anything that affects the thyroid. I was off the wall for about a year after a change in thyroid meds by another doc. and he was the one that got that straightened out. Every body is different--I am glad you are having such good results with it. mara
Guest guest
When I had a gum infection deep underneath a tooth, the H2O2 didn't get to it, but the DMSO, olive oil and oregano oil did take care of it. The H2O2 has helped in other situations, although I have been told that it is not good to do it every day as it is hard on the tissues. I find using it a couple times a week is sufficient for me. mara > Something to try in the interim before other decisions are > made...perhaps try gargling with H2O2, hydrogen peroxide. Guest guest
Recently there was a video from the healthy home economist video where she talked about how she used ghee and castor oil together internally to remineralize teeth. I don't know how to find it again. I looked for the vid lately for a friend and could not find it. It is on youtube. But there is alot of talk on the internet about the ability to remineralize teeth. I know you want to get that infection out first, but maybe remineralizing them will also help combat that infection. I have to admit that I don't have a clue what a bridge is. But if it is metal, I would be nervous about what that is doing. Magnets will also pull infection out of teeth, as long as your bridge is not ferrous steel. (Magnets stick to ferrous steel.) I am just learning about magnets and I know that is one thing they will do. They are incredible little tools. I am trying to preserve this tooth for as long as I can, because it supports a three tooth " cantilever " bridge. If the tooth is removed I cannot afford to replace the bridge (plus there will be nothing to which the bridge could connect). A while back someone had mentioned oil-pulling, which it seemed like a very strange notion. But, making a virtue of necessity, I decided to try it. I have been doing this twice a day with organic coconut oil. I have also been taking grapefruit seed extract, trying to work on the infection both topically and internally. So far, the infection has been much reduced, but it's not gone. (BTW, the affected tooth is becoming more solid; it had been very wobbly.) I have DMSO and oregano oil in soft gels. If I were to add these to the coconut oil, is it possible that combination might reach the deep infection? (I'm wondering if the oregano oil might burn my mouth?) What I do is take a tablespoon of coconut oil and swish it around in my mouth for about 20 minutes. (This sounds like a long time, but it's surprising how quickly it goes.) Any information will be very appreciated. Hugs, Dianne

Guest guest
Hi, I've been lurking since I joined but I just wanted to put my 2 cents on this one. Do you have a bite guard you are using? (usually while you sleep.) I'm a dental hygienist and while I haven't had the luxury of observing the wonderful ideas I've read on many alternative forums for infection and remineralizing teeth, I do see the effects of clenching and grinding with our teeth on a daily basis. I myself had 2 teeth that had crowns on them abscess in a 2 yr period because I had lost my night guard and had not replaced it. Now I have to decide what to do because I have 2 root canals on 2 molars next to each other. I realize the negatives of having root canal teeth but I do not want a partial denture or implants, which leaves me with a large empty lower right space...not good either. I wish I had known about over the counter night guards it would have saved my teeth.... Guest guest
Hi. I have not used DMSO on my gums, but I was reading in a book on Saturday this: " People use DMSO for cuts, for sores, for itching conditions. Some people even rub it on their gums and will swear to you that if you do the same thing once every few weeks, your gums will never bleed when you brush your teeth. " DMSO The True Story of a Remarkable Pain Killing Drug, written by Barry Tarshis. I wrote about the oil pulling. I really like how it makes my mouth feel and I suggested it because I read that it will help teeth firm up in the gums ( not be as loose and wobbly). Glad to know it has been working. Here is an excerpt from Rami Nagels book. Cure Tooth Decay Daily Diet ½ tsp two or three times per day of Green Pasture's Royal Blend 1/8 tsp two to three times per day fermented skate liver oil 2 ounces grass fed liver four or more days per week. Raw is preferred but cooked or seared with onions is totally fine. 4-12 oysters, clams or mussels several times per week. Raw is preferred, but cooked is acceptable. 1-2 tablespoons of bone marrow cooked or raw several times per week 2-8 cups of fermented dairy per day such as kefir, yogurt, whey, buttermilk, or clabber. 0-4 ounces of raw cheese depending on how much dairy you consume. 1-2 tablespoons of raw cream several times per week. 8 or more ounces of protein from grass-fed or wild sources per day. Proteins are to be consumed raw, rare, or fermented such as ceviche, or as a stew. Ideally your proteins should be a mix of land foods and sea foods. 1-2 cups of fish head soup per day. Otherwise, use beef, chicken and so forth. 2-4 raw eggs. These can be consumed in smoothies with your soured milk. Alternatively have your eggs soft-boiled. Fermented vegetables like sauerkraut Cooked leafy green vegetables or vegetable soup. Bonus items to this diet include: colostrums, fish eggs, crab and lobsters with the innards, spring and summer yellow butter, organ meats like adrenal, thyroid, and the brain, and animal blood. Eat the crab and lobsters cooked, some of the glands are best raw and the brain should be cooked. Guest guest
For gum problems i soak my teeth and gums for 15 minutes in colloidal silver, then swallow it. Swelling/infections disappear within a week. To remineralize teeth, one has to stop using commercial toothpaste that has glycerin. Someone wrote that using those little ultrasonic machines on ebay for $38 on gums help teeth re-grow. > > Consume Ghee and Castor Oil daily. Guest guest
Hi Gerry, Have you considered using H2O2 in your water pik. I just recently started doing this with a small capful (approx. 2 oz.) of 3% food grade H2O2 in the resevour. Just wondering if anyone has tried this? Thanks ,                                     \                                         \     > > > > > > > > Hello.. > > > > > > Has anyone used DMSO on gums for gum and tooth problems? > > > > > > Thanks > > > DM > > > > > >

Guest guest
I use Dr. Schulze's, though I make my own tinctures because I have his formulas, but I buy his Number 1 and Number 2 formulas as they are powders. I made a number 2 which has a charcoal base, and it was a mess. That charcoal powder got everywhere! So it's easier to buy his. Actually, I've found the quickest solution to gum problems to be MMS. Cleared up a long standing (MONTHS long) infection in just 2 days of swishing three times a day. You have to be careful of MMS though as I continued using it after the infection was gone, for brushing my teeth as Humble said it was very safe to do as he had done it for years. But on my teeth it actually started stripping the enamel. My teeth got so sensitive they hurt constantly. I finally figured out it was brushing with the MMS. I stopped and in 3 weeks the enamel built itself back up and they quit hurting. But I would not hesitate to use MMS again. Only this time I'd be sure to just swish with it, spit it out and then rinse carefully with water to get the acid off the teeth. I have also used plain bentonite clay packed around my teeth at night and that worked great for stopping bleeding when brushing. Again it only took 2 or 3 nights of this to stop the bleeding. I just sent Schulze's link because I think if I had a deep infection I would do his method at night along with MMS rinsing during the day. Samala, -------Original Message------- ...which products did you use if you don't mind sharing. Thanks. -Biz
