GOD!!! Who in their right mind would want to be an

endocrinologist???? Maybe that's why they are so

crabby!!! I am about to escape to a desert isle, dry

my hormones up in the sun, and blow happily away into

azure skies!!! :)Carolyn

I have always found it difficult to balane the E and thyroid. When I take more E my digestion slows down. When I take more T3 I don't feel the E. I think I may cut my T3 in half and take it morning and afternoon. Karin

Karin, I'm a total newbie with the thyroid stuff, BUT (this is a wild thought to talk over with your Dr.)....what if you don't have enough T4 to convert to T3....your T3 still looks a little low, and your TSH is kind getting close to hyper. I know E helps with mineral absorption, and selinium is SO important for the conversion as well.....so what if you had more T4 and did your T3 am and mid-day???

I was taking T3 alone, and seemed to get hyper fast....but I was up to 20mcg...10 BID. I am on no thyroid stuff right now, my Dr. added OOTest 0.1mgs. to see if that would help balance me. I still feel low thyroid, but my energy is way improved, still have some belly, but not bad, so bet I'll end up with T4 at least. I did the NT and seemed to get to much T3 from it.....I do take extra minerals, juice greens ect....I know this is tricky to figure out.......just a stab in the dark.....in keeping with Carolyns posts today, LOL . Will test to see how this works in a few weeks, but think I'll be in the old thyroid club soon, LOL :))

Karin, another wild note, I have taken E in lots of doses and the higher, or excess E symptom for me is fast bowels, LOL.....P seems to slow me down........I'm off it P, and Dr. had me trade it for Test. in a mini dose, the pharmacy called and wanted to know if it was right, LOL, 0.1mgs. LOL. Starting dose in Vliets SWG to T:))

Hi Val,

Just thought I would add to the thyroid med discussion. I currently take

unithroid .75 (this

was the first T4 med that was FDA approved since Synthroid and the others were

grandfathered before the FDA was in existance they eventually did get approval

pretty

recently). I had gotten a bad batch of Levothroid a long time ago and did some

investigating into the thyroid meds and eventually they all needed to get FDA

approval or

they would be pulled off the market. I currently take cytomel 5mcg (morning

only) along

with the unithroid. My recent blood tests were TSH .35 Free T4 1.4 Free T3

276 . I have

always been afraid to take the Armour (due to the animal origin and I could be

totally

crazy). I have always found it difficult to balane the E and thyroid. When I

take more E my

digestion slows down. When I take more T3 I don't feel the E. I think I may cut

my T3 in

half and take it morning and afternoon.

Hi ,

I am not on any P (for a couple of months) and I can't take T (I have PCOS my T

was 31

free 2.3). My E on the last blood was 236 E2 and 453 E3. (was on time released

oral E .75

x 2). I am currently on .1mg Vivelle taking some extra estrogel and keeping away

from the

oral E as much as possible. I was very interested in the oral E2 from Belmar

that acts very

similar to transdermal but the dosage would be more steady. (I might ask my Dr

to hook

me up) Will probably call Belmar first.
