Immigration rights for people with Aspergers

Hi,

I am new to this list but I have a question already I'm hoping that someone can help me with. I am dating a man from Canada who has Aspergers. I am Neurotypical. He is 39 and I am 43. We have known each other for 8 yrs. on the internet and in person we met this Spring. We want to marry but I have heard that he may not be allowed to immigrate with a diagnosis of Aspergers because the USA might not want to assume the costs related to a person on disability. Does anyone know whether this is true or not?

Can anyone help me with this?
