Guest guest
DISCLAIMER This has nothing to do with AS. Sam Vaknin wrote an article years ago on the difference he thought was behind the behavior of someone with AS and someone with a Personality disorder. He was diagnoses with being a Naecsissistic while in prison for Corporate fraud and has written extensively on Narcissism in books, articles and has a huge presence on the Internet. He has an online list that is not interactive but used to post information and he posted an article this morning relating to a recent documentary titled, "I, Psychopath" where him and his wife journey to get a diagnosis. We have never had a reason to research the high end of a psychopath and here is a man who sought the diagnosis and said many others are out there like him flying under the radar for various reasons. It is very interesting as how do you sort out the behavior? They also work with his wife in the process and did a neruo feedback loop on both of them at the end. She comes back normal and he flat lines emotionally Close to dead in that part of the brain. I liked how they interviewed the family members as well to see if their behavior had an impact on them and if so, how. One professional also said something that has been said on this list before and that is we need to move away from the medical model that says you have it or don't as they are all human traits we all have but in different degrees.
