Guest guest
Boy, , you got that right. No pool, no showers, cabana boys are keeping their distance from me. I am very lonely! LOL Today, the ortho took out about 10 cc of blood from that knee and tonight the knee is about 3 times its original size. My husband wants to go to the ER and call the ortho in the AM. I am so fed up with this whole thing that I couldn't care less what happens. All I know is that I am in a ton of pain and nothing is seeming to help the pain. He did give me more pain pills, but they are not helping since the swelling has picked up. I pray that I can get some rest tonight. I was so tired and so much in pain, that I actually started crying in the ortho's office. Not too proud of myself, but hey I couldn't stop it. I will keep you guys posted. Gentle, tender, angel hugs, Debs in FL
Guest guest
Becky, Thanks for your concern and support. Things will work out somehow. Now, are there any little footsteps at your house yet? I am praying that the answer is yes and that maybe while I was gone, I missed the post. You guys sure have had a tough time of it. My fingers are crossed and prayers are being said that these two little people are snuggled in their beds at your house and well into your hearts. Please drop a quick note. Once again, thanks for your concern, but this old bat will somehow manage to be OK! LOL. Gentle, tender, angel hugs, Debs in FL
Guest guest
Oh , As always, you know just the right thing to say. I forgot who taught me how to keep somewhat glued on during an emergency, and that person was.....my Dad. So I guess the torch must be passed on. The youngest one is definitely the one to be the strongest. Thank you for putting my perspective back to where it should be. Guest guest
I hope the hemorrhaging stops and you feel better real soon! It's a lousy way to spend a summer, isn't it? Hugs, Re: Debs Today has been about the same, no worse, so I guess that is good, but not a whole lot better. Bone pain is the worse. I see the ortho in the am and I will hopefully get something different for pain. He has me on dilaudid right now and it takes away some of the pain, but doesn't last as long as he thinks it will. I didn't think it was going to be this bad. But then, no one thought it was going to be that bad inside either. Thankfully, I still have a tiny bit of my patella left so he put a brand new component into that portion of the patella and that may or may not last
Guest guest
Ms , I would find it hard to believe that lil ol me could have started anything like that. It is just not part of my character! After all, I am a former Sunday School teacher. No, I am just quietly sitting here sucking up my pain medication watching my knee swell to be the size of small third world nation! All the staples and stitches are out and the outside looks very " angry " and I have a feeling that the inside doesn't look a whole lot different. I see him again on Friday because things are doing too good. It really needs to be drained again, but he is reluctant to introduce the needle in there and perhaps make the infection worse. Could this be payback? Nah, I don't think so either. After all, I am soooooooo nice and compassionate to all my friends! Well, I hope you find the culprit, because you know how quiet and shy most Floridians are. If I remember anything, I will be SURE to let you know! I am almost positive it was one of the other troublemakers here and not me! Oh well, back to being a good girl! Love and angel hugs, Ms Debs in FL

Guest guest
Yes, they say that is why my eyes are so brown! Thank you for noticing!!!!! I live on ice and pain killers right now. Go to see the ortho tomorrow am at 7:45 am. Yikes, I hope he is bringing bagels and cream cheese, because all I am bringing is my knee and nightie. This was Ron's big brainy idea.....see what happens when I let him think! Then he is taking the rest of the day off as a vacation day. I give it until about 10:00 am, then we should be off to the divorce attorney! Well, I gotta go hose off my hip boots for the next round. I don't understand why they get SO much use. Any suggestions? Have a good evening, Gentle, tender, gotta love Debs angel hugs!
Guest guest
Becks, So, got the homework, he hates to do it, I hate to nag him to do it, why don't they have a homework club at school? BLUES. Been there, done that. LOL So, DO they have an after school homework club or something similar? My kids have a one hour homework help class right on campus so they go there for homework (leaves me out of the battle altogether), and by the time they get home, we can argue about important stuff like...what's for dinner, or can he go to a friend's house over night on a school night. Nifty stuff like that. In fact, my 14 year old son starts high school in a week, and they also have the after school homework sessions. He really didn't like going to them at middle school, but if he balked just once at doing his homework on his own at home, he went right back to that program on a daily basis. Sure straightened up his act. We'll see how he does with high school and all. If your school system doesn't have something like this, perhaps you can help them start it. Good luck, Loving hugs, MM
