Guest guest
Hi All- Larry here. Posted previously about the Iritis that has become chronic. Started methotrexate in Jan- yesterday was my 5th weekly dosage of 10mg. And I was at my rheumy. Question- " barely " no side effects- no nausea or anything else- but what's weird is- as soon as I take my first dose- my knees start really hurting- and they hurt for one to two days- I can usually get passed it with Aleve and sometimes I need a tramadol. The doc thought this was unusual- I googled it and it seems to be somewhat prevalent- Any thoughts here? When I go back first week of March for re-visit- we'll check liver and increase dosage from 10mg to 12.5 or 15 and/or try the injectable form. Is this a side effect of the oral form? or has anyone experienced the same with the injectable form? Or maybe the MTX is causing an immuno type Still's flare? Overall I do feel better. BTW- I accepted a job offer for a new opportunity. It's less money- but I think it will reduce my stress considerably. Everyone take care. -Larry
