Guest guest
Welcome home Jen, I'm sorry to read you've been so sick but glad you posted to let us know how you are. I too have had years of insomnia and have xanax to take for sleep but it doesnt always work for me either. I wonder if you are pehaps a bit hyper-active? My brother was and I've read that the medications can work the oposite for people with ADHD and ADD, etc. It's something to ask your doctor about perhaps. I often have those affects even drink a cup of coffee before bedtime often because it relaxes me. I got a handout at my doctors office a couple of months ago and it explained the post traumatic stress disorder can encompass dibilitating illness and yes, a counceler helped me for many years work through the ajustments of living with Still's and also with pain management techniques like self hypnosis and biofeedback therapy. I'll look for the handout and see if there is helpful information to post from it. That is what Cat's talk was about at the conference this past year and it's very good to have a professional to talk and share with during ajustments with any illness I think. I still go today after all these years. I hope you continue to feel better each day, Many smiles, Now is the only true moment we have in time. From: timber@...
