Has anyone experience with prill beads? I bought some and I kept them in

water. The water ph changed to 8. Now after 3 weeks the water ph is 6.5 - 7.

Is it ok? Dave

I bought some but never put them in water.

There was a lot of discussion awhile back

on the beads, But them, nothing till you spoke.

I would be interested in hearing comments from

ones who have used Prill Beads.

No Dave, you need to start over, with fresh water, your water is overcharged

and should be discarded, When overcharged it will give a metallic taste. If

I am away

for more than two days, I dump my water out and start over.

- I soak mine for about an hour, and rinse to get rid of the dust.

- Fill a 1-gallon glass jar or jug with water. Place the beads in

this water where they sink to the bottom.

- Wait 24 hours for the beads to build up the initial charge

- After this breaking in period *3 quarts of water can be removed

every hour if needed*. Always leave some water behind to start your next

batch.

- After processing the energized water can be stored in glass or hard

plastic containers but *not in metal*.

- And Dave, it should not be given to pets, just a warning I received, I

have no idea why.

- You can also energize the water much like I do iodine, magnetize it

with strong magnets. You will be pleasantly surprized when you drink it.

- I have been told many stories by sales folks, as to the merits of

prill water, I can only attest, it takes a lot less of this water to keep me

hydrated on the golf course than regular water, perhaps half as much. When

I reconstitute frozen juice, there is some difference in the taste,

especially orange juice, but then the prill water raises the water ph up to

about 7.5. When orange juice is normally about 6.5 acid.

- Prill water was originally designed to remove radioactive waste from

water, yet in Philly, the death rate of babies has doubled in the last few

weeks, they think because of fallout from Japan being in the water. I have

wondered why they are not using prill water there. go figure

If your prill beads are truly magnesium oxide prills, it shud go fine for

you.

Have you cleaned them since you first used them? Mine have been in tank

water & are quite dirty but I didn't check the pH nor have I cleaned them

yet - I've had them a year approx

If there's the slightest bit of organic matter in the water, and you

keep your water in the sun, there will eventually be a slight green

algae build-up on the beads. Good to keep your water away from light

and VERY clean. Léna

They're well away from light & all the water is now going through a filter -

was wondering if I might put the beads in the lower filter chamber - I put

them in clean water ready to clean, popped a bunch of coriander & a bunch of

parsley & a lettuce in the water & they have all lasted 2 or 3 weeks!!

Dislocating my shoulder has put some things on hold - I also have something

called " Cosmic Balls " in with them ....... this is tank water only that we

use here
